Team Overview

Our Proactive Security Engineering team is committed to establishing a leading Security Engineering organization in London, working collaboratively with teams across North America and Europe. We focus on fostering a supportive culture, empowering engineers to tackle complex challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage a team of Security Engineers and Software Engineers within the London-based Proactive Security team.
• Define project goals and objectives while providing ongoing support and development for team members.
• Foster a diverse and skilled group of engineers, facilitating their growth and exposure to scaling technology teams.
• Create a supportive learning environment, acting as a mentor for engineers and emerging tech leads.
• Enhance and implement effective processes and values to scale operations efficiently.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers involved in the development and deployment of large-scale services globally.
• Collaborate with various cross-functional teams, including product, infrastructure, design, and operations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience as a Senior Engineering Manager, specifically in Security Product or Security Engineering.
• Experience managing both managerial and individual contributor roles.
• Strong technical background with architectural knowledge and problem-solving skills, particularly in cloud-native infrastructure.
• Prior experience as a Software Engineer or Security Engineer, particularly in building security products at scale.
• A collaborative management style that encourages team optimization and supports career growth.
• Ability to set clear objectives and provide technical advice to ensure team success.
• Experience in team building, recruitment, and collaboration with recruiting teams.
• Proven track record in improving a company’s infrastructure security posture.
• Broad technical expertise in various infrastructure and security domains within large production environments.
• Proficiency in distributed systems and development platforms using languages such as Java, Scala, Kotlin, Golang, or Python.
• Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure management, particularly in AWS and/or GCP.
• Strong communication skills to influence partners and articulate complex ideas effectively.
