| Qualifications | Bachelor’s |
| Category | IT Jobs |
| Job Type | Full Time |
| Location | London |
This role sits within Amazon Leo, an initiative focused on building a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites designed to deliver fast, low-latency broadband service to customers and communities worldwide. The EMEA operations team is seeking a Senior Product Manager to shape strategy and planning for consumer broadband services across the MEA region. This is a highly visible position with regular exposure to leadership and significant cross-functional coordination.
The role centers on identifying major business opportunities and risks, assessing category conditions, and turning those insights into customer-focused product strategies and business plans. You will help drive multi-year planning and execution while working closely with teams across Business Development, Product, Finance, Operations, Demand and Capacity Planning, Pricing, and Business Intelligence. The environment is described as fast-moving, complex, and often ambiguous, so the successful candidate will need to be comfortable making progress in changing conditions while keeping a long-term view of what it takes to build a durable business.
This position may involve access to information, systems, or hardware governed by export-control laws and regulations, including the EAR and ITAR. Employment is dependent on receiving any required export licenses or other approvals from the U.S. government. Because of that, the selected candidate must be eligible for any necessary export authorizations based on nationality, citizenship, and other relevant export-control considerations.
What you will do
- Own strategy and planning for consumer broadband services in MEA, including defining the business challenge, the desired market position, and the strategic direction for the category.
- Provide the commercial and strategic inputs Finance needs to build annual operating plans.
- Lead quarterly business reviews by analyzing category performance, preparing leadership-ready summaries, and recommending specific actions based on actual results.
- Write PRFAQs and working-backward documents that explain new business opportunities and strategies in a way that aligns with long-term goals.
- Support the monthly business outlook by identifying opportunities and risks, reviewing category conditions, and recommending actions to accelerate growth or address issues.
- Run monthly goal reviews by monitoring KPI progress, coordinating input from stakeholders, and reporting status to senior leaders.
- Organize weekly business reviews, including performance updates, operational efficiency tracking, and coordination across partner teams.
- Help build agreement among stakeholders when there are conflicting viewpoints and influence others to move forward with the chosen approach.
- Develop and present competitive intelligence for country leadership, covering market structure, competitor moves, and industry trends that affect decision making.
- Conduct or commission category research to identify growth opportunities and support strategic choices.
- Work with Business Development, Product, Finance, Operations, Demand and Capacity Planning, Pricing, and Business Intelligence to execute multi-year business plans.
- Lead planning for entry into new countries in collaboration with Business Development, Pricing, and Product.
- Partner with Finance and Demand Planning to convert product vision and roadmap plans into demand forecasts and financial models for annual plans, quarterly guidance, and monthly outlooks.
- Present high-priority workstreams and business updates to leadership on a frequent basis.
What the role requires
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field.
- Background in market research, statistics, finance, or qualitative and quantitative research.
- Strong commercial judgment and the ability to think analytically about business performance and category strategy.
- Experience working effectively in a matrixed organization with many stakeholders and partner teams.
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to stay effective in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
- A self-directed working style with the initiative to move work forward independently.
- Ability to influence senior leaders using evidence and data-driven insight.
- Strong communication skills for presenting to leadership and aligning cross-functional partners.
- Willingness to work in a role that may require access to export-controlled information, technology, or hardware.
- Eligibility to obtain any required export licenses or approvals, depending on nationality, citizenship, and other export-control factors.
