Team and environment
The RME team is responsible for keeping Amazonâs equipment operating at a high standard. It is a technically minded group made up of strong team players and supported by experienced leaders. The team works across Amazonâs fulfilment network to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, including advanced automation and distribution systems.
Work in this area can involve installing automated packaging systems, managing general site maintenance, and repairing critical distribution equipment. The team also helps ensure buildings remain legally compliant so that people stay safe and sites continue to operate efficiently. Because the role supports essential operations, the work is focused on reducing downtime and helping customers receive their orders on time.
The environment is fast paced and practical, and it often requires working early, late, or overnight shifts so maintenance can be completed with as little disruption as possible. There is also room to identify better ways of working and to help introduce new processes or technologies when improvements are found.
