Solutions Architect, Global Financial Services EMEA + APJ Overview

AWS is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to support financial services customers in understanding, adopting, and maximizing the value of AWS technology. This position is aimed at someone who already has some exposure to the financial services industry and wants to deepen their experience in financial services applications and infrastructure while building on a strong appreciation of how cloud technology can drive transformation.

What you will do

• Serve as an important member of the Financial Services team and help deliver the team’s market strategy.
• Work with customers to design technical approaches and define value propositions that make use of AWS cloud capabilities.
• Advise financial services clients on how to adopt AWS in ways that support their business and technical goals.
• Participate in customer conversations that translate technical possibilities into clear business value, including discussions with senior stakeholders.

Experience and qualifications

• You should have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience gained through professional work or military service.
• You need experience in IT development, implementation, or consulting, ideally in software or internet-focused environments.
• You should bring experience in at least one relevant technical domain, such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data and analytics.
• You should have worked on the design, implementation, or consulting side of applications and infrastructure.
• You must be comfortable communicating with a wide range of audiences, including technical teams, business users, and executive-level customers or stakeholders.
• Experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking is preferred.
• Experience building or operating solutions on AWS is also preferred.
