This opportunity is with a fast-expanding semiconductor team that is developing next-generation controller ICs for a range of vision-focused consumer devices, including wearables, smart glasses, AR/VR headsets, and similar products. The position combines product definition, engineering coordination, and customer-facing strategy, making it well suited to someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, market insight, and commercial planning.
What you will be doing
- Develop and refine the roadmap for new controller ICs and the system-level features that sit around them.
- Take ownership of product requirements, decide which capabilities should be prioritised, and help define the product’s overall value proposition.
- Work closely with teams covering silicon, firmware, software, and systems engineering to keep product direction and technical execution aligned.
- Prepare clear, customer-ready materials such as product briefs, presentation decks, datasheet content, and application notes.
- Study market trends and competitor offerings across wearables, AR/VR, smart devices, and related ecosystems.
- Turn customer feedback and market needs into practical product guidance that can be acted on by engineering and commercial teams.
- Contribute to the launch of a new semiconductor product family aimed at fast-growing device categories.
What the employer is looking for
- Hands-on product management experience in semiconductors, particularly with ICs, controllers, or other silicon-based products.
- A solid grasp of the full silicon development lifecycle, from early definition through to product release.
- Experience gained in high-volume consumer electronics environments.
- The ability to make complex technical information easy to understand for customers, partners, and other stakeholders.
- A logical, analytical working style and the confidence to establish effective processes in a fast-moving environment.
- A degree in electronics engineering or a similar discipline.
- Additional experience with wearables, smart glasses, AR/VR, or other vision-enabled products would be an advantage.
