The company is looking for engineers who want to take on demanding technical work and help deliver innovative end-user products for major global consumer brands. The role is based in Edinburgh and sits within a growing verification team that has ambitious plans for further expansion.

What the role involves

As a Design Verification Engineer, you will be responsible for all areas of digital verification across complete mixed-signal IC developments. You will work on sophisticated verification environments and contribute directly to the ongoing evolution of the team’s verification methods and processes. The work is hands-on, technically challenging, and part of a larger global organisation with significant project scope.

The position is offered on a hybrid basis, with at least two days each week spent in the Edinburgh office. The offices are refurbished and located centrally, giving you a modern working environment in a convenient location.

Career growth and senior responsibilities

The team is hiring across a range of experience levels, from mid-level engineers through to staff-level professionals. More experienced candidates may be given additional scope and responsibility, including helping to guide junior colleagues, improving verification methodology across the team, and taking ownership of verification activity on larger or more complex projects.

Skills and experience needed

  • Practical experience with metric-based verification approaches, including verification planning and the extraction of requirements.
  • Experience with both directed testing and constrained-random verification.
  • Ability to review and interpret functional coverage and code coverage data.
  • Strong command of SystemVerilog, including the use of SystemVerilog Assertions.
  • Experience creating testbenches using verification frameworks such as UVM.
  • Well-developed debugging skills and the ability to work through complex issues efficiently.
  • Scripting ability in TCL or Perl.
  • Experience with power-aware verification using CPF or UPF.
  • Formal verification and verification qualification techniques are considered advantageous, though they are not mandatory.
