This is an opportunity to join a growing semiconductor company in the UK as a Field Application Engineer focused on Network-on-Chip technology. The position is remote and involves supporting customers across the UK and Europe with advanced technical guidance, especially during pre-sales and integration work. You will be the key technical contact for clients, helping them apply semiconductor IP effectively within complex system-on-chip designs.

What the role involves

• Act as the primary technical contact for customers, answering detailed questions and helping them make informed design decisions.
• Work alongside the sales team to provide tailored technical support for opportunities across the UK and Europe.
• Help customers incorporate IP into their SoC designs, with a strong focus on Network-on-Chip architecture and AMBA protocols.
• Contribute to pre-sales activity by delivering technical presentations, supporting product evaluations, and taking part in system architecture discussions.
• Work with internal engineering teams to ensure customer feedback is passed on and used to improve products and future development.

What the employer is looking for

• A strong background in digital hardware design, with experience using Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
• Hands-on knowledge of AMBA protocols such as AXI, AHB, and APB.
• A deep understanding of IP integration and SoC architecture.
• Familiarity with Network-on-Chip design and implementation.
• Excellent communication skills and prior experience in customer-facing work.
• The ability to combine technical expertise with commercial awareness in a pre-sales environment.
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK and Europe as needed.
