As part of the Security and Loss Prevention team, you will work across a defined geographic area and support multiple business units. The work combines site-level security activity, investigation work, risk reduction, and stakeholder coordination. You will also help strengthen resilience by identifying vulnerabilities early, responding to incidents effectively, and contributing to measures that reduce the chance of repeat issues.
What you will do
- Support business resilience by helping with emergency and crisis planning for the sites in your area.
- Spot vulnerabilities linked to loss, employee experience, and process improvement, then help shape suitable mitigation actions.
- Work with local leaders and outside partners to manage security risk and coordinate responses to security-related issues.
- Maintain compliance with Amazonâs global security standards at the sites you support.
- Carry out regular physical security audits and investigate policy breaches, security incidents, and loss events.
- Collect and review information during investigations by using systems and tools, analysing reports, and interviewing relevant people.

- Monitor the condition of physical security systems and work with specialists and external suppliers to keep them functioning properly.
- Partner daily with external security service providers to help ensure high-quality service delivery and a smooth experience for internal customers.
- Act as a contact point for internal and external teams such as legal, HR, security vendors, and local law enforcement.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on security and loss prevention topics.
- Deliver awareness and education programmes on loss prevention and work with stakeholders across different management levels on policy and procedure matters.
Team and business context
You will be part of the Global Security Operations organisation, where Security and Loss Prevention supports Amazonâs business goals by reducing threats and managing risks that could endanger associates or customers, interrupt operations, damage assets, or harm the companyâs reputation. The team works in partnership with stakeholders to protect the supply chain end to end, prevent security and loss prevention risks before they escalate, respond to active incidents to limit impact, and investigate incidents thoroughly to uncover root causes and prevent them from happening again.
In day-to-day work, you will collaborate with a wide range of internal and external partners and help maintain the physical integrity of Amazon sites. The role involves both operational security activity and broader advisory work, including sharing expertise, supporting process improvements, and helping others understand security and loss prevention expectations.
What you need
- Practical experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, and the ability to work with data for analysis and reporting.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Experience in security services, asset protection, loss prevention, risk management, inventory management, investigations, supply chain, auditing, compliance, or a similar area.
- A background that shows you can work carefully, handle multiple priorities, and operate effectively in a security-focused environment.
- Preferred experience in sectors such as logistics and shipping, distribution centres, manufacturing, hospitality, healthcare, retail, or other customer-facing settings.
- Preferred experience using analytics and data to support decisions.
- Preferred experience from a relevant industry or academic setting.
- Preferred knowledge of physical security practices, including security systems, investigation methods, and oversight of contract security guards.
- Preferred possession of a driverâs licence.
