In this role, you will help drive the adoption of Gemini across the higher education sector by shaping and executing the market strategy for a defined territory. You will be responsible for building meaningful usage within universities and colleges, positioning Gemini as a valuable tool for teaching, learning, and research, and serving as the main contact for the institutions in your portfolio. The role also involves developing partnerships across the education ecosystem, gathering customer insight, and working with internal teams to improve the product and the approach used to scale adoption.
What you will do
- Design and implement the go-to-market plan for Gemini in higher education for your assigned market.
- Own the adoption outcomes for strategic accounts, with a focus on initiatives that can demonstrate measurable value and on training programs that help users successfully take up Gemini.
- Build direct relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at universities and colleges in your territory.
- Advise faculty members and academic departments on how to create and deliver plans for introducing AI into teaching and learning.
- Identify and work with organizations and individuals across the sector that can help accelerate adoption, including university associations, leadership networks, and similar groups.
- Represent the business as a thought leader in the higher education space.
- Collect feedback from customers and share it internally so it can shape Gemini’s future roadmap for education.
- Partner with teams across Google to ensure a coordinated, unified approach to supporting universities.
- Build ecosystem relationships that strengthen Gemini’s presence and expansion in the sector.
- Focus on outcomes that show how Gemini can create value for teaching, learning, and research across your accounts.
What you need
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent level of practical experience.
- At least four years of experience in education technology, enterprise software sales, account management, or a related field.
- Experience presenting to stakeholders and developing relationships with people at academic institutions or enterprise organizations.
- Preferred background in artificial intelligence, machine learning, or other transformative technologies.
- Preferred experience supporting customers through technology adoption and change management.
- Preferred experience building thought-leadership or innovative programs in education.
- Strong knowledge of the higher education environment, including its challenges and decision-making structures.
- Strong strategic, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a broad mix of internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in creating and delivering go-to-market strategies and in achieving or surpassing targets.
- English fluency, as Google says English is required for all roles unless the posting states otherwise.
