- Lead major, complex engagements by working closely with clients and colleagues to quickly understand the business issue, define the challenge clearly, and identify viable solutions.
- Develop recommendations and insights that are grounded in strong evidence and can withstand detailed client review and challenge.
- Build trusted, durable relationships with clients, including senior stakeholders, and operate as a credible advisor at multiple levels.
- Lead and improve assigned offerings by developing and refining playbooks, toolkits, and other assets that support innovation, market positioning, and thought leadership.
- Coach, develop, and manage the performance of team members involved in delivery, while helping strengthen the practice through skills development and career support.
- Support growth of the practice and the wider team through leadership activity, recruitment support, and contribution to business development across all levels.
- Help shape, commercialise, and grow solutions and offerings so they align with business objectives, including working toward a sales target of £0.5m.

What the role requires
- Strong consulting and leadership background, with proven ability to build teams, mobilise work, and lead projects through to successful delivery.
- Practical experience in performance improvement methods and the finance value chain.
- Project leadership experience across at least two core finance processes, such as order to cash, procure to pay, record to report, planning and analysis, tax to finance, or treasury, and/or experience leading cost performance programmes.
- Experience across more than one relevant industry, such as the public sector, energy transition and utilities, financial services, manufacturing, automotive, life sciences, or technology, media, telecoms and services.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams to define problems and potential solutions quickly and effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, using a fact-led approach to shape insight and recommendations.
- Experience planning and leading the workstreams needed to deliver a programme in line with the appropriate methodology.
- Ability to build and sustain relationships with senior executives.
- Extensive experience delivering complex improvement or transformation programmes in a hybrid delivery environment.
- Experience working with finance teams in large, complex, or international organisations, along with familiarity with modern finance operating principles.
- Commercial awareness and business development capability, including selling additional resources, helping shape successful deals, and contributing to strategic account development within an industry sector.
- Experience growing and commercialising solutions or offerings, and working to a formal sales target.
- Ability to build and manage teams across multiple projects and workstreams.
- Evidence of supporting high-performing teams, coaching talent, and helping create an inclusive culture that encourages growth.
- Mandatory professional qualification as a fully qualified UK Chartered Accountant, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent credential, with strong technical grounding and the ability to turn strategy into practical action.
- Helpful but not essential: experience delivering solutions that successfully use artificial intelligence.
