Anthropic is hiring a Finance Business Partner for its EMEA go-to-market finance and strategy group. In this position, you would support the commercial teams across the region by bringing financial analysis, modeling, and strategic guidance to decisions that affect growth and resource allocation. The role sits at the intersection of finance and go-to-market planning, with a focus on helping the business make informed choices as it scales.
The company’s mission is to build AI systems that are reliable, understandable, and steerable, with a strong emphasis on safety and positive societal impact. The broader organization includes researchers, engineers, policy specialists, and business leaders working together toward that goal. This finance role is part of that wider effort and is intended to help align revenue and commercial execution with the company’s financial strategy.
What you will do
- Serve as a trusted finance partner to EMEA go-to-market stakeholders, advising them on financial strategy, investment decisions, and how to allocate resources effectively.
- Use a detailed understanding of the company’s financial position to influence commercial decisions and support planning across the region.
- Work closely with cross-functional partners to analyze business questions, build financial models, and recommend actions on topics such as revenue targets, sales headcount and capacity planning, and other strategic priorities.
- Develop clear, concise, and decision-useful reports, analyses, and forecasts for stakeholders and executives, with attention to major trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with strategic finance, FP&A, and accounting teams to ensure go-to-market planning is consistent with broader financial and accounting considerations.
What the role requires
- Seven or more years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, business partnering, consulting, investment banking, or a similar field.
- Experience supporting finance operations or helping build finance capabilities in international markets, particularly across EMEA.
- Strong analytical capability, including the ability to simplify complex information into actionable insights and create robust financial models.
- Confidence communicating with a wide range of audiences, including non-finance colleagues and senior leaders, and the ability to present financial information clearly.
- Practical experience with budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning in a fast-growing company or similarly dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with multi-entity and multi-currency financial structures, along with awareness of EMEA regulatory or statutory issues.
- A self-starting mindset, strong work ethic, and the ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
- Alignment with Anthropic’s mission to build safe, transformative AI systems.
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- A relevant academic background, professional training, or equivalent experience in a field connected to the work.
- The company notes that the exact experience level is linked to its internal job level framework.
Compensation and package
The posted annual salary for this position is £240,000. Anthropic also states that it offers a competitive overall compensation package.
Benefits and workplace environment
- Optional equity donation matching.
- Generous vacation time.
- Parental leave.
- Flexible working hours.
- A collaborative office space designed for working with colleagues in person.
Working arrangement
This is a hybrid role. Anthropic currently expects employees to spend at least 25% of their time in one of its offices, and some positions may require a higher level of office attendance. The application also asks candidates whether they are open to in-person work at that level and whether they are willing to relocate if needed.
Visa sponsorship
Anthropic states that it does sponsor visas. The company adds that sponsorship is not possible for every role or every applicant, but if it extends an offer it will make every reasonable effort to secure the necessary visa and will involve an immigration lawyer to help with the process.
How to apply
Applicants are asked to submit the standard application form, including contact details, resume or CV, and any optional supporting information such as a cover letter. The form also asks for a LinkedIn profile or resume, whichever is available, and includes questions about name pronunciation, start date, timing constraints, AI policy acknowledgment, reasons for wanting to join Anthropic, visa sponsorship needs, relocation openness, work address, and prior interview history with the company.
Additional context
Anthropic emphasizes that it values strong communication, collaboration, and impact-driven work. The company describes itself as a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco and says it offers a highly collaborative environment focused on a small number of large-scale research efforts. It also encourages applicants not to rule themselves out if they do not meet every listed qualification, noting that strong candidates may still be a fit even if they do not match every requirement exactly.
The company includes a safety reminder for applicants: official recruiters use Anthropic email addresses, sometimes vetted agencies may recruit on Anthropic’s behalf, and candidates should be cautious of suspicious messages, requests for money, fees, or banking details, and links from unfamiliar domains. If there is any doubt about a communication, Anthropic directs applicants to check its careers site directly.
