What you will do

  • Take accountability for delivering strategic transformation programmes within the Finance & Enterprise Value practice and the wider Enterprise Model & Strategy team, while helping expand and strengthen client accounts.
  • Lead large and complex engagements, working side by side with clients and internal teams to quickly understand the underlying business issue and define workable solutions.
  • Develop recommendations and insights that are grounded in evidence and presented in a way that can stand up to detailed scrutiny from senior clients.
  • Build durable, trusted relationships with client stakeholders at senior levels and operate as a credible advisor.
  • Lead assigned offerings by improving playbooks, toolkits, and related assets that support innovation, thought leadership, and market differentiation.
  • Coach, develop, and manage the performance of team members contributing to project delivery.
  • Help strengthen the practice by supporting skills development, mentoring consultants, and contributing to career progression across the team.
  • Support business development through leadership activity, recruitment support, and broader contribution to growth across the practice and team.

Experience and qualifications needed

  • Proven consulting and leadership experience, including the ability to build teams, mobilise work, and lead projects through to successful delivery.
  • Background in performance improvement methods and the finance value chain.
  • Project leadership experience across at least two core finance processes, such as order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, planning and analysis, tax-to-finance, or treasury, or experience leading cost performance programmes.
  • Experience in more than one target sector, such as the public sector, energy transition and utilities, financial services, manufacturing, automotive, life sciences, or technology, media, telecoms and services.
  • Ability to work with clients and colleagues to rapidly define business problems and shape possible solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, using a fact-led approach to turn data into insight and action.
  • Experience leading and planning workstreams required to deliver programmes in line with the relevant methodology.
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships with senior executives.
  • Extensive experience delivering complex improvement or transformation work in a hybrid delivery model.
  • Experience working with finance teams in large, complex, or international organisations, including familiarity with modern finance operating principles.
  • Commercial capability, including the ability to sell additional resources, help shape winning proposals, and contribute to strategic account development within an industry sector.
  • Experience growing and commercialising assigned solutions or offerings.
  • Experience working against a formal sales target.
  • Experience leading teams across multiple projects and workstreams.
  • A record of supporting strong teams, coaching talent, and promoting an inclusive, growth-focused culture.
  • For credibility with senior finance leaders, you must be a fully qualified UK Chartered Accountant, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent qualification, with strong technical knowledge and the ability to translate strategy into practical action.
  • It is desirable to have experience with solutions that make successful use of artificial intelligence.

About the team

Finance & Enterprise Value is Capgemini Invent’s finance strategy and transformation advisory practice within Enterprise Model & Strategy. The team helps clients create value across the finance function through two main areas of work.

  • Value Strategy & Modelling: business case development, value realisation planning, and the design of outcome-based commercial structures for major decisions and deals.
  • Finance Transformation: design and optimisation of future-ready finance operating models, organisation design, and delivery structures, together with integrated planning, productivity levers, and cost optimisation to improve decision-making and financial performance.
