Partner Solution Architect, Regional System Integrators and Strategic Partners Overview

Company Name Google
Job Role Partner Solution Architect, Regional System Integrators and Strategic Partners
Qualifications Not Specified
Category IT Jobs
Job Type Full Time
Location London

This role sits within Google Cloud and focuses on helping regional system integrators and strategic partners across EMEA design and deliver strong cloud solutions. The position is centered on pre-sales solution architecture, partner enablement, and technical leadership, with a particular emphasis on helping partners move quickly from opportunity shaping into successful delivery. The work is aimed at improving partner capability, accelerating business cycles, and ensuring that solutions are ready to move into production with minimal downstream issues.

What you will do

  • Serve as the main pre-sales solution design authority for priority regional system integrators and strategic partners in EMEA, with responsibility for the South sub-region.
  • Work alongside Google Cloud Account Platform Customer Engineers as the technical partner in the engagement, while the Account CE retains the direct customer relationship and overall account strategy.
  • Take ownership of the technical readiness of partner organizations so they can deliver solutions successfully and with confidence.
  • Shift engagements from broad advisory support into deeper execution in specialized areas such as AI, Data, or Infrastructure, helping close pre-sales gaps and reduce the need for post-sales intervention.
  • Run high-impact partner enablement events such as VIP bootcamps and hackathons to speed up sales cycles, improve delivery quality, and support a strong path to consumption.
  • Provide targeted architectural guidance to regional system integrators and strategic partners, especially when complex agreements need technical unblocking or partner activation needs to be tailored.
  • Review and validate the most important statements of work to ensure they are technically sound, production-ready, and aligned with partner funding return on investment.
  • Create reusable enterprise assets, including practical AI demonstrations, that can be used repeatedly across partner engagements.
  • Lead technical deep-dives and hackathons for the regional partner technical community so enablement can be delivered at scale.
  • Help establish, operate, and maintain the EMEA Partner Tech Community.
  • Collaborate closely with Partner Development Managers to build and execute joint business plans for the sub-region and to prioritize the most valuable partner opportunities.

What Google is looking for

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience working with cloud-native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Practical experience with public cloud architecture, including compute, networking, identity and access management, and microservices.
  • Experience with pre-sales acceleration, technical proof-of-concepts, and leading technical workshops.
  • Demonstrated ability to own outcomes, make decisions, solve ambiguous problems, and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise technology buying and evaluation processes, along with the ability to translate business needs into technical direction and challenge partner delivery strategies.
  • Ability to work across teams with Google Cloud Platform Customer Engineers to shape and coordinate solutions that combine multiple products.
  • Ability to influence partner technical audiences, identify opportunities to expand work within partner accounts, and help drive faster agreement closure without partner-delivery escalations on partner-led delivery agreements.
  • Deep expertise in at least one domain, such as AI, Data, or Infrastructure.
  • English fluency, as Google notes that English is required for all roles unless the posting explicitly says otherwise.

About the team and role context

The Google Cloud Platform team helps organizations build and transform their businesses using cloud technology. The products are designed for security, reliability, and scalability, spanning infrastructure, applications, devices, and hardware. The team supports a wide range of customers, including developers, businesses of all sizes, educational institutions, and government organizations, and works to help them realize the value of Google’s technology.

In this role, you would be part of an entrepreneurial team in a fast-growing business area. The position is intended for someone who can understand customer and partner needs, shape technical direction, and help influence how organizations use technology to connect with customers, employees, and partners. The role is specifically focused on regional system integrators and strategic partners rather than global system integrator engagements, and it is described as being ring-fenced from those global accounts.

You would act as the ecosystem co-pilot to Google Cloud Account Platform Customer Engineers. In that model, the Account CE owns the direct customer relationship and strategy, while you own the partner’s technical capability to deliver successfully. The role also involves close collaboration with Partner Development Managers in your sub-region to create and execute a joint business plan and to focus on the most important engagements.
