Role overview

As a Solutions Director, you will shape, position, and communicate solutions that help enterprise customers realise value from AI and related technologies. The role calls for a strategic, commercially minded leader who is comfortable operating where business strategy, technology, and AI innovation meet.

What you will do

  • Partner with sales, marketing, and delivery colleagues to build and grow client relationships through AI-driven innovation.
  • Act as a knowledgeable advisor on AI, software, cloud, and data technologies, helping uncover client challenges and design tailored solutions that create measurable business impact.
  • Lead discovery sessions and pre-sales work, including proposals, RFP responses, and presentations that clearly explain the company’s AI and technology capabilities.
  • Develop proof-of-concepts and reference architectures that demonstrate how the company can deliver strong outcomes for clients.
  • Convert client objectives into practical solution roadmaps, working closely with specialists in software, data, AI, design, and engineering.
  • Support the early stages of delivery so that projects transition smoothly from pre-sales into execution.
  • Collaborate across teams to produce case studies and success stories that highlight the value and transformation delivered by AI solutions.
  • Contribute to the growth of the AI practice by encouraging innovation, improving ways of working, and sharing best practices across teams.

What the company is looking for

  • More than 12 years of experience in software engineering and technical leadership, ideally gained in consulting, pre-sales, or account development roles within technology or digital services.
  • Hands-on experience with solution architecture, software architecture, cloud platforms, and AI-native software engineering practices.
  • Confidence in running workshops to explore use cases, discuss solution trade-offs, and align stakeholders on the best approach.
  • Working proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or JavaScript.
  • Practical experience with generative AI, including using foundation models to improve real-world applications through methods such as retrieval-augmented generation, agents, and evaluation suites that test effectiveness.
  • A strong understanding of AI, data pipelines, and cloud ecosystems such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • The ability to explain complex technical ideas clearly to non-technical or less technical audiences.
  • Proven success engaging senior enterprise stakeholders, including VP- and C-level leaders.
  • Experience leading pre-sales, discovery, and solution-design discussions.
  • A track record of helping shape and close deals in partnership with sales teams.
  • Excellent writing, speaking, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate business value in outcome-focused language.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with sales, marketing, delivery, and finance teams to create tailored proposals and solutions.

Benefits and perks

  • An annual company bonus tied to business performance, with employees sharing in company profits.
  • Flexible remote working designed to support work-life balance.
  • 25 days of annual leave, plus public holidays, as well as additional leave options such as sick leave and marriage leave.
  • A remote working allowance of up to €1250 every two years, converted into GBP, to help set up a comfortable and productive workspace, along with essential equipment provided at onboarding.
