Category IT Jobs
Job Type Full Time
Location London

This position sits within Capgemini Invent and focuses on Oracle finance transformation for clients that operate or are moving toward shared services models. The role is aimed at an experienced manager who can combine Oracle functional expertise, finance process knowledge, and transformation leadership to help clients improve the way their finance operations are designed, delivered, and governed.

The wider team describes its work as inventive transformation consulting, bringing together strategy, creativity, science, and technology to solve client challenges. In this role, you would help shape and deliver Oracle-enabled change that improves efficiency, strengthens service delivery, and supports long-term financial transformation.

What you will do

  • Lead Oracle finance transformation work for clients, with a strong emphasis on shared services operating models and finance optimisation.
  • Design and deliver Oracle Cloud solutions end to end, covering both HCM and ERP elements where needed.
  • Build finance solution architectures that are secure, scalable, compliant, and aligned to the client’s business goals.
  • Facilitate solution-design workshops and turn business needs into practical Oracle architecture across HCM and ERP.
  • Guide delivery teams and make sure implementations remain technically robust, high quality, and on schedule.
  • Advise clients on Oracle roadmap planning, integration strategy, and governance for transformation programmes.
  • Support business growth by contributing to proposals, bids, RFP responses, propositions, and client presentations.
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure integration, data migration, and system optimisation are handled smoothly.
  • Stay current with Oracle Cloud capabilities and share that knowledge internally to strengthen the practice.
  • Review existing finance processes and redesign them to increase automation, standardisation, reporting quality, and operational accuracy.
  • Help clients develop and implement shared services strategies, including centralising finance activities where that improves cost efficiency and service quality.
  • Define KPIs and reporting frameworks using Oracle analytics tools so clients can monitor performance and make informed decisions.
  • Lead transformation initiatives from current-state assessment through gap analysis to delivery of improvement actions.
  • Use business process services expertise to improve workflows and reduce operational risk.
  • Work with senior stakeholders, including C-level leaders, to understand their priorities, build trusted relationships, and support successful outcomes.
  • Mentor finance architects and consultants, encouraging development while maintaining delivery standards and timelines.
  • Contribute to internal practice development through campaigns, think-tanks, whitepapers, recruitment support, team activities, and offering development.
  • Take part in learning and development activity, including training and certifications, to support your own growth and the needs of the business.

What the role is looking for

  • Substantial experience in Oracle finance management, Oracle ERP, and Oracle Cloud solution delivery.
  • Hands-on background in shared services environments and an understanding of how finance functions are centralised and improved.
  • Ability to lead solution design for complex client requirements, including work in public sector settings.
  • Experience translating business requirements into Oracle architectures across HCM and ERP.
  • Capability to oversee delivery teams and maintain technical quality across implementations.
  • Experience advising clients on transformation strategy, integration, and governance.
  • Comfort engaging senior stakeholders and presenting ideas to executive audiences.
  • Experience supporting business development through proposals, bids, and client pitches.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Oracle Cloud capabilities and a willingness to keep learning.
  • Experience improving finance processes through automation, standardisation, and better reporting.
  • Understanding of KPI design and reporting frameworks, ideally using Oracle analytics tools.
  • Ability to lead transformation programmes from assessment through to implementation.
  • Experience with business process services or similar finance process-improvement work.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills for developing consultants and architects.
  • This is an opportunity for experienced professionals rather than entry-level candidates.
  • The successful candidate must be able to work flexibly on assignment location and may need to spend time away from home at short notice.
  • The role can be based from London, Manchester, Newcastle, or Glasgow.
  • The position is permanent.
  • Capgemini states that all UK employees may request flexible working arrangements.
  • The recruitment process includes a disability-confident commitment: candidates who declare a disability and meet the minimum essential criteria will be offered an interview if they opt in during application.

Working style and environment

Capgemini says hybrid working is built into the way it operates, and flexible working is part of the day-to-day experience for employees. The company also highlights its commitment to inclusion, wellbeing, and creating an environment where people can bring their whole selves to work.

The role requires flexibility around assignment location, and work may involve periods away from home at short notice. An office base is available in London, Manchester, Newcastle, or Glasgow.

Benefits and support

  • A benefits package with options that can be adjusted to suit personal circumstances.
  • A variable pay component linked to grade, company performance, and individual performance.
  • Hybrid working and access to flexible working arrangements for UK employees.
  • Wellbeing support, including trained Mental Health Champions across business areas.
  • Access to wellbeing applications such as Thrive and Peppy.
  • A strong focus on diversity, inclusion, and active inclusion initiatives.
  • Opportunity to work for a business recognised among the world’s most ethical companies.
  • Exposure to a global organisation working across strategy, design, engineering, AI, cloud, and data.
  • Disability Confident Employer status, with an interview guarantee for eligible candidates who opt in.
