Anthropic is looking for an Applied AI Strategist to support its EMEA business by acting as a senior strategic advisor to the regionâs most important customers. This role is focused on helping large enterprises understand how AI can reshape their strategy, align internal stakeholders around ambitious adoption plans, and move from interest to execution with Claude. It is a senior, customer-facing position for someone who can operate credibly with executives, navigate complex enterprise environments, and turn technical capability into business value.
This is not an engineering role. Instead, the position calls for someone who can enter board-level conversations in major European and Middle Eastern business centers, quickly assess the competitive environment, regulatory pressures, and organizational dynamics, and help leaders imagine a compelling future built around AI. The successful candidate will be a trusted voice for Anthropicâs most strategic EMEA accounts and will help shape how the company is perceived at the executive level.
What you will do
- Lead executive briefings for Anthropicâs highest-priority EMEA customers, adapting the message, evidence, and tone to fit each market and leadership team.
- Own the strategic account narrative for top-tier customers, including executive positioning, value cases, strategic proposals, and success plans, in partnership with Sales and Applied AI.
- Create reusable executive-facing assets that help the wider team engage senior stakeholders effectively, such as sector-specific perspectives, value frameworks, and proposal or success-plan templates.
- Reframe regulatory topics across Europe and the Middle East as part of the business case for Claude, including the EU AI Act, GDPR, DORA, EU AML requirements, data residency, and sovereignty concerns.
- Work closely with Sales and Applied AI before and after customer engagements to align on strategy, review outcomes, and keep the account vision moving forward.
- Stay engaged with high-momentum opportunities as a trusted advisor and help preserve momentum through the sales process.
- Travel regularly across EMEA for executive meetings, workshops, and strategic account discussions.
What Anthropic is looking for
- At least 15 years of experience in enterprise technology or management consulting, with significant time spent at executive level in key EMEA markets such as the UK and Ireland, France, DACH, the Nordics, Benelux, Southern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
- A strong history of influencing C-suite leaders at large European enterprises, along with the cultural flexibility to work effectively in different markets such as Paris, Munich, and Milan.
- Deep knowledge of how large, often regulated organizations evaluate, adopt, and scale technology.
- The ability to translate AI capabilities into strategic outcomes using clear value frameworks and business cases.
- Experience producing high-quality executive content that can be reused by others, including industry viewpoints, strategic proposals, and success plans.
- Well-developed views on what makes enterprise transformation succeed or fail, based on direct leadership or advisory experience.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a fast-moving environment.
- A collaborative approach and the understanding that sales at Anthropic depends on teamwork.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage senior leaders with confidence and clarity.
- English plus another major European language is a significant advantage.
- Willingness to spend more than half of working time traveling across EMEA.
- Genuine enthusiasm for AI and a desire to help enterprise customers succeed with it.
