Job Type Full Time
Location London

Capgemini Invent is looking for a Consultant or Senior Consultant to join its Cloud & AI Strategy practice. The role sits within a team that combines strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, scientific methods, and technology expertise to help clients tackle complex transformation challenges. The focus is on helping organisations move beyond basic cloud adoption and toward modern, AI-ready technology estates that create business value.

In this position, you will work with clients on cloud and AI modernisation strategies that go further than migration. The aim is to help organisations modernise applications, data, and platforms so they can scale AI, support innovation, and reduce both cost and risk. You will also advise on multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud strategy, including how workloads should be placed, how portability and sovereignty should be handled, and how AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud environments can be aligned into one coherent enterprise approach.

A major part of the role is helping senior stakeholders understand complex technology choices. You will bring together strategy, operating model design, economics, and architecture into clear, persuasive stories that executives can use to make decisions.

What you will do

  • Shape cloud and AI modernisation strategies that help clients move beyond migration and build technology foundations that are ready for AI, innovation, and long-term efficiency.
  • Advise on multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud approaches, including workload placement, portability, sovereignty, and the relationship between AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud within an enterprise landscape.
  • Translate technical and strategic complexity into concise, executive-level narratives that connect business goals with technology decisions.
  • At Consultant level, lead a workstream, deliver strong-quality outputs, influence the strategic direction of the engagement, and help design propositions.
  • At Senior Consultant level, design and lead projects or several workstreams and take responsibility for parts of the proposition.
  • Contribute to business development through proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, pitch support, and hosting clients at events.
  • Support internal practice growth through campaign work, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, operations, recruitment, team activities, and development of new offerings.
  • Take part in learning and development activities, including training and certifications that support your career progression and the skills needed by the business.

What the team is looking for

  • Experience in at least two of these areas: cloud strategy, application and cloud modernisation, cloud operating model design, FinOps and cloud economics, or multi-cloud/hybrid strategy, ideally gained in large or mid-sized organisations.
  • A real interest in AI, including an informed view on how generative and agentic AI are changing cloud strategy, plus practical curiosity about using AI tools to improve your own working methods.
  • Strong structured problem-solving skills and excellent communication ability, with the confidence to turn ambiguity into clear, executive-ready messages and materials.
  • Experience working in a major consulting firm, or in industry with a consulting background, together with experience contributing to propositions and business development.
  • Evidence that you can succeed in a matrixed organisation and bring colleagues with you when selling and delivering consulting solutions.
  • Cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform are preferred, though not essential.
  • A collaborative mindset, comfort working in a fast-moving environment, and enthusiasm for helping organisations transform through technology.
