Expedia Group is hiring a Director of Product Management to lead the Rapid API strategy for several new business areas within its B2B travel platform. This role sits within the product organization supporting a global travel marketplace and focuses on building developer-friendly integrations that help partners create smoother travel experiences, unlock new revenue, and deepen engagement at scale.

The position is centered on four high-growth product areas: Vrbo vacation rentals, car, activities and experiences, and ground transportation. You will own the product direction across these domains while managing a team of four Product Managers, each responsible for one API area. The role combines strategic leadership, people management, partner engagement, and close collaboration with engineering and commercial teams.

What you will be responsible for

  • Setting and owning the multi-year roadmap for Rapid APIs across Vrbo, Car, Activities, and Ground Transportation, ensuring the plan aligns with Expedia Group’s B2B growth priorities and partner demand.
  • Leading four Product Managers who each own a separate API domain, while providing coaching, development support, hiring input, and clear accountability for results.
  • Building strong relationships with major B2B partners to understand their needs, taking part in quarterly business reviews, reviewing API designs, and helping resolve escalations for important accounts.
  • Working with engineering teams to guide the full delivery lifecycle for APIs, from discovery and design through launch, partner onboarding, and ongoing lifecycle management.
  • Partnering with Business Development, Partner Success, Engineering, and commercial stakeholders to convert partner needs into a sequenced product strategy with meaningful impact.
  • Defining and tracking success measures such as partner adoption, Gross Booking Value, and API reliability, then using those metrics to keep the team focused on measurable outcomes.
  • Identifying new monetization opportunities in emerging lines of business and working with Business Development and Finance to build the commercial case for them.
  • Representing the product portfolio to senior leadership, advocating for the products, and helping foster a high-ownership, outcome-driven team culture.

What the company is looking for

  • More than 10 years of B2B product management experience, ideally with a background in travel.
  • More than 7 years of experience working on API or platform products, along with strong knowledge of RESTful and GraphQL API design and developer experience.
  • At least 5 years of people management experience, including hiring, coaching, and developing Product Managers.
  • Confidence handling the responsibility of a large, multi-vertical portfolio of API products and a team of product managers.
  • Strong influencing skills and experience working in a large, globally distributed matrix organization.
  • Ability to discuss technical problem spaces with engineers, translate them into user stories, and build products incrementally.
  • Skill in identifying the best business opportunities across Vrbo, Car, Activities, and Ground Transportation, making clear prioritization decisions, and creating a compelling strategy.

Benefits and culture

  • A full benefits package.
  • Travel-related perks.
  • Generous paid time off.
  • Parental leave.
  • A flexible work model, supported by office space.
  • Career development resources.
  • An inclusive, welcoming culture where differences are valued and people are encouraged to succeed together.
  • Recognition as a strong workplace by organizations such as Glassdoor, Forbes, TIME, and Disability:IN.

Working arrangement

This role is based in the London office in London, England. The posting also describes Expedia Group’s work approach as a flexible model rather than a fully remote arrangement.
