Company Name Algolia
Job Role Enterprise Account Executive, UK
Qualifications Not Specified
Category IT Jobs
Job Type Full Time
Location London

This role is for an experienced enterprise sales professional who can help drive Algolia’s growth in the UK market from London. The company positions itself as a leader in AI search and discovery, serving thousands of businesses and handling search traffic at very large scale. The focus of the role is not simply to sell software, but to help major organisations adopt AI-powered search, discovery, and agentic workflows that improve customer experiences and deliver measurable business outcomes.

In this position, you would be responsible for guiding large, complex customers through transformation projects where search becomes a strategic part of digital experience. The work involves engaging senior business and technical stakeholders, shaping opportunities across multiple departments, and showing how Algolia’s platform can support predictive experiences, contextual recommendations, and AI-assisted journeys. Success in the role requires a consultative approach, strong commercial instincts, and the ability to connect technical capabilities to real business value.

What you will do

  • Take ownership of an enterprise sales pipeline and actively grow it through both inbound interest and outbound prospecting.
  • Advance sophisticated sales opportunities through long, multi-stakeholder buying processes until they are won.
  • Explain Algolia’s generative AI and agentic features to executive sponsors and technical evaluators, demonstrating how they improve relevance, personalization, and autonomous search experiences.
  • Develop and execute territory plans and account strategies across your assigned portfolio.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing customer relationships through additional commercial and strategic value.
  • Generate new enterprise business by creating your own meetings, building relationships in relevant communities, and using partner networks.
  • Partner with Solutions Engineering to create tailored demonstrations, proof-of-value engagements, and ROI analyses that show impact beyond standard search KPIs.
  • Use a disciplined forecasting approach, including MEDDPICC-style thinking, to predict outcomes accurately and understand buyer motivations and risks.
  • Work closely with SDRs, Solutions Engineers, Customer Success, Legal, Marketing, and external partners to keep execution aligned with customer goals and long-term account growth.

What the company is looking for

  • At least five years of enterprise SaaS sales experience, with a strong history of closing complicated deals.
  • Background in areas such as digital transformation, AI/ML, search, or commerce is especially relevant.
  • Strong enthusiasm for generative AI, machine-learning-enabled customer experiences, and agentic systems.
  • Proven ability to sell into large organisations with many departments, complex buying criteria, and distributed influence across stakeholders.
  • Capability to understand technical differentiation quickly and explain it clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong outbound prospecting skills and a modern, insight-led approach to opening conversations.
  • Experience working with strategic partners such as consultancies, systems integrators, and software vendors to create opportunities together.

Additional experience that would be especially useful

  • Experience selling products with usage-based pricing models.
  • Exposure to AI-first platforms or composable architectures.
  • Comfort discussing technical architecture and AI relevance with technical decision-makers.
  • A naturally curious, growth-oriented mindset.
  • The ability to think strategically while still executing with discipline and urgency.
  • Genuine excitement about building in a space where advanced AI is tied directly to business outcomes.

Compensation and workplace setup

The role offers on-target earnings in the range of £148,500 to £206,000 GBP, combining base pay and commission. The company notes that the exact package may vary depending on location, relevant knowledge, technical capability, and experience, and that compensation is only one part of its broader rewards approach.

Algolia describes its workplace model as flexible and high-trust. The company places more emphasis on impact and output than on where someone sits physically. Many employees can choose to work remotely or in a hybrid-remote arrangement, and the company has offices in Paris, New York City, London, Sydney, and Bucharest. For roles listed in a specific city, the location requirement applies, though the schedule may still be hybrid or office-based depending on the role. This posting is associated with London and is marked as hybrid.

Culture and values

The company says it looks for people who reflect its core values: grit, trust, candor, care, and humility. It describes the environment as one that rewards problem-solving, ownership, constructive feedback, genuine concern for colleagues and customers, and a willingness to learn from others. Algolia also emphasizes autonomy, diversity, collaboration, and an inclusive workplace where people are respected regardless of protected characteristics or background.

About the company and mission

Algolia presents itself as a pioneer in AI search and discovery, supporting a large number of businesses and processing billions of search requests each week. The company highlights its funding history and customer base to show the scale and stability of the platform. Its mission is to help businesses connect users with the information and experiences that matter most, quickly and intelligently. The role sits within that mission by helping enterprise customers adopt the next generation of search and discovery technology.

How to apply

Applicants are invited to submit their details through the online application form. The form requests standard contact and resume information, as well as details about legal right to work in the UK, whether sponsorship is needed now or in the future, LinkedIn profile, current location, average deal size, quota and quota attainment over recent years, and prior experience selling into the UK market.
