This role sits within Capgemini Invent’s Finance & Enterprise Value practice, part of the wider Enterprise Model & Strategy team. The group supports CFOs and senior business leaders in identifying, unlocking, and sustaining value across the finance function. The work combines strategy, transformation, data-led insight, creativity, and technology to help clients address current challenges and prepare for future needs.

As a manager in this practice, you will bring deep finance transformation consulting experience while also contributing across the broader Enterprise Model & Strategy portfolio. The position combines client delivery, practice development, people leadership, and business growth responsibilities.

What you will do

  • Take ownership of strategic transformation delivery across the Finance & Enterprise Value practice and the wider Enterprise Model & Strategy team, while helping to deepen and extend client relationships.
  • Lead major, complex engagements in partnership with clients and internal teams, rapidly clarifying the underlying business issue and identifying workable response options.
  • Develop recommendations and insights that are grounded in evidence and strong enough to stand up to scrutiny from senior stakeholders.
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with clients and operate as a credible advisor at multiple levels of the organisation.
  • Lead assigned offerings and help evolve supporting assets such as playbooks and toolkits so the practice continues to innovate and strengthen its market position.
  • Coach, develop, and manage the performance of team members contributing to project delivery.
  • Support the growth of the practice by helping colleagues build skills, encouraging progression, and contributing to a high-performing culture.
  • Assist with business development by supporting recruitment, leadership activity, and wider team growth across all levels.
  • Help shape, commercialise, and expand solutions and offerings so they contribute to business objectives.
  • Work toward a sales objective of £0.5m and contribute to account growth, deal shaping, and solution selling.
  • Contribute to internal initiatives such as campaigns, internal think tanks, white papers, practice operations, recruitment activity, and team events.
  • Take part in learning and development opportunities, including training and certifications, to support your own progression and the capability needs of the business.

What the role requires

  • Strong consulting and leadership experience, including the ability to build teams, mobilise work, and lead projects through to successful completion.
  • Practical experience with performance improvement methods and the finance value chain.
  • Project leadership across at least two core finance processes, such as order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, planning and analysis, tax-to-finance, or treasury, and/or experience delivering cost performance programmes.
  • Experience across more than one relevant industry, such as the public sector, energy transition and utilities, financial services, manufacturing, automotive, life sciences, or technology, media, telecoms and services.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues to define problems quickly and identify potential solutions.
  • A structured, fact-based approach to problem solving that can be used to shape recommendations and generate insight.
  • Experience planning and leading the workstreams needed to deliver a programme in line with the appropriate methodology.
  • Confidence in building and maintaining relationships with senior executives and other high-level stakeholders.
  • Substantial experience delivering complex improvement or transformation work in a hybrid delivery model.
  • Experience working with finance teams in large, complex, or international organisations, together with familiarity with modern finance operating principles.
  • Commercial capability, including the ability to sell additional resources, help shape winning proposals, and contribute to strategic account development within an industry sector.
  • Experience growing and commercialising assigned solutions or offerings.
  • Experience working against a formal sales target.
  • Experience building and managing teams across multiple projects and workstreams.
  • A record of coaching talent, supporting high-performing teams, and helping create an inclusive, growth-oriented culture.
  • For credibility with senior finance leaders, you must be a fully qualified UK Chartered Accountant, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Strong technical finance knowledge and the ability to translate strategy into practical actions and solutions.
  • Desirable experience: working on solutions that successfully use artificial intelligence.
