This is a full-time, permanent role for someone based in the UK. The role sits within Nearform, an independent group of data and AI specialists, engineers, and designers that builds intelligent digital products and helps organisations modernise and deliver better digital experiences with the support of AI.

Nearform works with ambitious enterprises to create AI-enabled solutions that improve customer experiences, support developers, and produce measurable business outcomes. The company combines deep technical expertise with a collaborative, people-first approach to help clients solve difficult digital problems, modernise legacy systems, and build new products using AI. Its team includes hundreds of specialists across many countries and serves well-known enterprise clients.

What you will do

  • Design, build, implement, and deploy agentic platforms inside client environments from end to end.
  • Create scalable AI-driven systems that help organisations operationalise LLM-powered agents across products, workflows, and teams.
  • Partner closely with client stakeholders, technical leaders, and delivery teams to develop and launch agentic capabilities that fit into existing enterprise systems and frameworks.
  • Develop orchestration layers for large language model agents using modern frameworks and related technologies.
  • Build multi-agent solutions that include tool use, workflow orchestration, memory handling, and decision-making logic.
  • Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines that connect to enterprise data sources.
  • Integrate the platform with client technology ecosystems, including APIs, data platforms, cloud services, and enterprise applications.
  • Configure Kubernetes and deploy workloads in containerised environments.
  • Plan deployment architectures that can operate across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid setups.
  • Work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical colleagues in a consulting and delivery context.
  • Adapt quickly in a dynamic environment where priorities change and solutions are refined directly with users.
  • Help plan, execute, and deliver complex client engagements that address real business challenges.

What the company is looking for

  • Strong senior-level engineering experience, with the expectation that candidates at this level typically have around eight or more years of commercial experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and build agentic platforms using Python and modern AI tooling.
  • Experience creating LLM orchestration architectures with tools such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or comparable frameworks.
  • Practical experience building multi-agent systems that support tool use, workflow coordination, memory, and decision-making.
  • Experience delivering RAG solutions that integrate with enterprise data sources.
  • Ability to connect agentic systems to client environments through APIs, data platforms, cloud services, and enterprise software.
  • Capability to configure Kubernetes and deploy workloads successfully.
  • Experience designing deployment approaches for cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructure.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical groups.
  • Comfort working in a fast-changing environment and iterating directly with users.
  • Consulting experience that shows you can plan and deliver complex client work while solving practical business problems.
  • Bonus experience with Golang.
  • Bonus experience with React on the frontend.
  • Bonus experience with Kubernetes at a deeper level.

Rewards and benefits

  • An annual bonus linked to company performance, with employees sharing in the business’s success.
  • A flexible remote working culture designed to support work-life balance.
  • 25 days of annual leave, plus public holidays.
  • Additional leave options such as sick leave and marriage leave.
  • A remote working budget of up to €1250 every two years, converted to GBP, to help create a comfortable home office setup.
  • Essential equipment supplied by Nearform when you join.
  • A training and development budget of up to €1000, converted to GBP, to support ongoing learning and skill growth.
  • Private healthcare coverage.
  • Pension matching of up to 5%.
  • Income protection and death-in-service insurance.
  • Company-paid travel expenses for the required trips to client sites in Europe.
  • A salary range of £75,000 to £95,000, plus bonus and benefits.

Interview process

  • A 30-minute introductory call with the talent team to discuss your background, experience, and career goals, and to hear more about Nearform.
  • A one-hour live technical assessment over Zoom, where you complete a coding challenge by screen share and demonstrate Python skills, problem-solving ability, and good coding practice.
  • A 45-minute interview with the hiring manager focused on teamwork, client collaboration, and problem-solving in an enterprise delivery setting.
  • An additional client interview may also take place depending on the project.
