The position focuses on designing and delivering enterprise-grade integration solutions across the Guidewire InsuranceSuite landscape, with particular emphasis on PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter. The work sits within a hybrid model, so day-to-day attendance will vary depending on the needs of the role, the business, and the client. You will be expected to split your time between company offices, client locations, and your home, but the role is not fully remote.

What you will do

  • Lead the full lifecycle of integration solution design, development, and implementation across Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter.
  • Set the integration architecture for Guidewire programmes, including the standards, patterns, and best practices that should be followed across transformation initiatives.
  • Build integrations using the Guidewire Integration Framework, web services, messaging capabilities, and plugin extensions.
  • Drive an API-led approach to integration, making effective use of REST and SOAP services.
  • Design asynchronous and event-driven integration flows using Guidewire messaging features.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and engineering teams to convert business needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Act as a senior technical lead for integration developers and wider engineering teams, offering guidance and direction.
  • Review solution designs and assess code quality, performance, security, and operational readiness before release.
  • Contribute to Guidewire Cloud migration work, modernisation programmes, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Investigate and resolve complex integration problems, improving system resilience and scalability where needed.
  • Help define CI/CD, DevOps, testing, and deployment approaches for integration delivery.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, technical governance, estimation exercises, and client-facing meetings.
  • Shape the vision and strategy with the client, understand stakeholder and user needs, and elicit processes, data, and capabilities as part of business analysis work.
  • Model requirements and define target processes and business requirements for both current and future-state solutions.
  • Apply the business analysis framework and methods for the project or programme, and provide leadership within the team and beyond it.

What you need

  • At least 10 years of experience in designing, developing, and leading enterprise integration solutions.
  • Strong practical experience with Guidewire InsuranceSuite, especially PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter.
  • Deep experience in the London Market insurance domain.
  • A proven record of delivering complex integrations across underwriting, policy administration, claims, delegated authority, bordereaux processing, reinsurance, and third-party market systems.
  • Strong understanding of the Guidewire Integration Framework.
  • Hands-on capability in GOSU, plugin development, messaging, event-based integrations, batch integrations, and Guidewire APIs.
  • Experience designing and building REST APIs and SOAP web services.
  • Experience with enterprise integration, service-oriented architecture, and event-driven architecture.
  • Experience using middleware and integration platforms.
  • Ability to work effectively with business and technical stakeholders and to contribute in client-facing discussions.
  • Experience with architecture reviews, technical governance, and estimation activities.
  • This is an experienced-professional role based in London.
  • The role follows a hybrid working pattern, with a mix of office, client-site, and home working, and it cannot be done entirely from home.
  • The company’s disability inclusion policy means that candidates who declare a disability and meet the minimum essential criteria will be invited to interview if they opt in during the application process.

What you can expect from the company

  • A hybrid working arrangement that combines office, client-site, and home-based work.
  • Recognition as a Great Place to Work for Wellbeing in 2024.
  • Support for employee wellbeing through trained Mental Health Champions across the organisation.

  • Access to a very large learning library, including roughly 250,000 courses.
  • Opportunities to earn external certifications from organisations such as AWS, Microsoft, Harvard ManageMentor, and cybersecurity providers.
  • Employment with a company recognised by Ethisphere as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies for 13 years in a row.
  • The chance to work in a values-led organisation that emphasises ethical decision-making, inclusion, and responsible business.
  • Membership of a global transformation business with deep industry expertise, a broad partner ecosystem, and a large international workforce.
