This role is for an experienced insurance business analyst who can operate effectively in the London Market and support specialty insurance work. The position sits at Lead Consultant level and is based in London, United Kingdom. The successful candidate will bring strong business analysis capability together with practical knowledge of the London Insurance Market ecosystem, helping teams shape, document, and improve processes while supporting delivery across business and technology functions.

What the role involves

• Applying detailed knowledge of the London Insurance Market, including the roles played by syndicates, coverholders, brokers, and the Xchanging bureau.
• Analysing and documenting the full placement journey for specialty insurance business in the London Market.
• Supporting initiatives that involve Lloyd’s of London and other related market participants.
• Working with underwriting, claims, and operations teams to gather, confirm, and record business requirements.
• Reviewing existing workflows, mapping how work currently moves through the business, and identifying opportunities to streamline, improve, or automate processes.
• Partnering with technology teams so that the solutions being designed and delivered remain aligned to business objectives.
• Helping with regulatory reporting activities connected to managing agents and syndicates.
• Taking part in the preparation and validation of reports required for Lloyd’s, FCA, and PRA compliance.
• Supporting reinsurance reporting and helping ensure that reporting and compliance activities meet relevant regulations and standards.
• Acting as a point of contact between business stakeholders and technical teams to maintain clear communication and shared understanding.
• Facilitating workshops and meetings with senior stakeholders to define scope, agree deliverables, and support project progress.
