Marketing Manager, Display Advertising Overview

Company Name Amazon
Job Role Marketing Manager, Display Advertising
Qualifications Not Specified
Category IT Jobs
Job Type Full Time
Location London

This role sits within Amazon’s Digital Advertising team, which supports the company’s own strategic businesses by using Amazon’s Advertising DSP to run digital marketing programs. The team works closely with internal marketing groups and their agency partners to improve advertising performance, develop better programmatic approaches, and feed campaign learnings back into product development. The position is focused on display and video advertising for major internal advertisers whose goals can range from brand-building to driving purchases.

The Agency Engagement function manages the full lifecycle of agency activity on Amazon DSP. That includes bringing agencies on board, checking their knowledge, training them, and supporting campaigns after launch in partnership with programmatic solutions consultants. The team also helps identify gaps in supply and product capability, works with Amazon Ads supply specialists to move direct buys onto Amazon DSP, and develops case studies that demonstrate the platform’s effectiveness across different objectives. In this environment, Amazon’s internal marketing teams act as the primary customer, helping improve both campaign outcomes and the DSP roadmap.

What you will do

  • Partner with internal business teams and external agencies to understand campaign goals in depth and convert those goals into Amazon DSP solutions that produce measurable impact.
  • Use feedback from marketers and agencies to influence and accelerate improvements to the Amazon DSP product.
  • Identify third-party supply needs and platform features that are necessary for agency partners to adopt Amazon DSP for internal marketing work.
  • Develop, refine, and standardize campaign delivery processes with agency teams while continuously learning from performance data to improve program value.
  • Review operating workflows regularly to find inefficiencies and reduce the cost of supporting campaigns.
  • Capture product gaps, write clear requirements, and build persuasive business cases for internal ad tech teams.
  • Promote new programmatic initiatives that make use of emerging advertising technology and supply innovations.
  • Work with product and ad tech partners to shape and execute roadmap priorities with clear accountability.
  • Set success measures with marketers and agencies, design experiments, and analyze results to uncover practical opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversee campaign management from start to finish across audiences, inventory types, and ad formats, ensuring strong delivery and ongoing optimization.
  • Monitor live campaigns, spot delivery issues quickly, and help resolve problems in real time.
  • Support agency onboarding, knowledge assessment, training, account setup, pre-launch quality assurance, and live campaign support.
  • Help move direct insertion-order buys onto Amazon DSP by partnering with supply teams.
  • Co-create case studies that show how Amazon DSP can meet different campaign goals and outperform key benchmarks.

What a typical day may involve

You might begin the day by checking live dashboards in Amazon DSP and catching a delivery issue before the agency notices it. Later, you could join a call with agency strategists to align on a campaign brief and open up new connected TV inventory. After that, you may dig into performance data to find an audience insight that changes targeting for a campaign. You could then meet with product leaders to present a feature idea based on agency feedback. The day may end with you drafting a case study that demonstrates strong Amazon DSP performance and helps drive further adoption.
