The position sits within the CIS business unit and is part of Infosys Limited in the UK. Compensation is described as competitive and includes bonus.

The role centers on designing and overseeing enterprise network architecture across both on-premises data centers and public cloud environments such as AWS and Azure. A major part of the job is building secure, scalable, and highly available connectivity between data center infrastructure and cloud platforms, with a strong emphasis on hybrid network modernization.

What you will do

  • Shape enterprise LAN, WAN, and data center network architecture, and produce high-level and low-level designs, architecture patterns, and network blueprints.
  • Turn business and technical needs into network solutions that are resilient, scalable, and cost-efficient.
  • Design and manage connectivity between on-premises data centers and AWS/Azure environments, including AWS Direct Connect and VPN-based links.
  • Create hybrid network models such as multi-region and hub-and-spoke architectures, while ensuring high availability and disaster recovery connectivity.
  • Apply strong hands-on knowledge of Cisco routing and switching technologies, including OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, STP, HSRP, and VRRP.
  • Work with core enterprise networking features such as VLANs, trunking, QoS, multicast, and MPLS.
  • Support data center networking using Cisco ACI technologies, including APIC, Nexus 9K, VXLAN/EVPN, and spine-leaf designs.
  • Contribute to SD-WAN solutions, including Cisco Viptela and Meraki.
  • Design and implement cloud networking components in AWS and Azure, such as VPCs, VNets, subnets, route tables, Transit Gateway, NAT Gateway, and load balancers.
  • Use private endpoints and firewall controls to secure access and improve traffic flow, cost, and performance.
  • Implement security controls such as Zero Trust architecture, segmentation, micro-segmentation, firewall policies, ACLs, and intrusion prevention.
  • Automate network provisioning and configuration using Python, Ansible, and Terraform, and connect network work into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Deploy monitoring and observability tooling such as Dynatrace, Grafana, SolarWinds, Cisco DNA Center, and ThousandEyes, along with flow logs and performance analytics.
  • Carry out capacity planning and performance optimization to improve latency, throughput, bandwidth usage, reliability, failover, and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Lead troubleshooting for difficult issues involving TCP/IP, DNS, and routing protocols.
  • Support ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change management activities.
  • Maintain clear documentation, including runbooks, design records, and other governance materials.

What you need

  • Deep practical experience with Cisco routing and switching.
  • Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and related enterprise networking protocols.
  • Experience with data center networking technologies such as ACI, VXLAN, and EVPN.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS networking services, especially VPC, Transit Gateway, and Direct Connect.
  • Working knowledge of Azure networking, including VNet; ExpressRoute is considered a plus.
  • Ability to design secure hybrid connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Experience with firewall technologies, Zero Trust concepts, and network segmentation.
  • Experience using Terraform, Ansible, Python scripting, and CI/CD integration for network automation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex network problems across routing, DNS, and TCP/IP.
  • Experience working within ITIL-based operational processes.
  • The role is located in Warwick/London, United Kingdom, and is presented as a Technology Architect position within the delivery organization.
