What the role involves
- Designing, building, and supporting the platforms and infrastructure that software teams rely on to develop, deploy, and operate applications.
- Working on the underlying systems and tooling that make application delivery and operations more efficient.
- Contributing to cloud platform engineering work by helping create and maintain cloud-based platforms and infrastructure.
- Taking an active role in the professional cloud platform engineering community by sharing knowledge, following emerging trends, and applying current best practices.
- Making substantial contributions to team objectives, particularly where the work involves reliable, scalable, and efficient platform delivery.
- Using cloud engineering expertise across technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code.

Additional platform and delivery responsibilities
- Supporting ESM platform work by building a foundational understanding of ESM platforms and processes.

- Supporting business initiatives by building dependable, efficient, scalable, and business-oriented solutions.

- Implementing and managing continuous integration and continuous delivery processes as part of DevOps delivery.
- Contributing to site reliability engineering activities, including oversight of software and performance across the full technology stack.
