In this role, you would help move advanced RF ideas from early concept into hardware that can be deployed in real products. You would work closely with architecture, systems, and wider engineering groups, taking responsibility for RF subsystem design and delivery within a defined system architecture.

The position combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities. You would be expected to guide RF performance from concept through validation, ensuring that the resulting designs satisfy both technical targets and commercial needs.

What you would do

  • Lead RF engineering activity so that it stays aligned with system-level requirements and overall product goals.
  • Take ownership of RF subsystem performance, implementation, and delivery.
  • Run and contribute to design reviews, including making technical sign-off decisions.
  • Design and simulate RF circuits such as LNAs, PAs, filters, and duplexers.
  • Turn architectural requirements into detailed RF designs that can be built and validated.
  • Improve RF performance while balancing system constraints and product objectives.
  • Create and execute RF test and validation plans.
  • Review and interpret measurement data, including S-parameters, noise figure, EVM, ACPR, phase noise, and linearity.
  • Investigate RF problems, perform debugging, and lead root-cause analysis.
  • Support and mentor RF engineers, helping them develop technically and professionally.
  • Promote strong engineering discipline, including robust documentation and good design practice.
  • Work with system architects and other engineering specialists on technical choices, planning, and risk management.
  • Assist with manufacturing support and production test activities where RF input is required.

  • Strong practical experience in RF design across relevant frequency ranges.
  • A track record of delivering RF projects at senior or lead level.
  • Solid understanding of RF theory and how it translates into real-world implementation.
  • Experience with RF design and simulation environments such as ADS, AWR, CST, and HFSS.
  • Confidence using RF lab equipment, including vector network analysers, spectrum analysers, and signal generators.
  • A delivery-oriented approach and the ability to work effectively in an environment where architecture and productisation are closely linked.
  • The capability to combine deep technical expertise with leadership and ownership.
