This role is for an experienced Scrum Master working in capital markets, supporting the delivery of complex change across trading, risk, regulatory, and front-to-back transformation programmes. The position is suited to someone who can guide Agile delivery in a fast-paced financial services setting, help teams deliver consistently, and make sure technology outcomes stay aligned with wider business priorities.

The working model is hybrid. You would split your time between company offices, client locations, and your home, but the role cannot be carried out entirely from home.

What you will do

• Lead Agile delivery for major capital markets initiatives, helping teams deliver work in a steady and predictable way.
• Run Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support the team as a servant leader, strengthening Scrum adoption and improving overall team effectiveness.
• Identify delivery blockers, manage them actively, and remove obstacles that could affect progress.
• Work with product owners and wider stakeholders to keep the backlog well prepared and ready for delivery.
• Measure and communicate Agile performance using indicators such as velocity, burndown, and sprint progress.
• Promote continuous improvement while ensuring the team follows governance expectations and delivery standards.
• Manage risks, dependencies, and coordination across multiple teams to support successful delivery.
• Help ensure planning is in place for data governance, compliance, and operational readiness where relevant to data platforms, engineering pipelines, dashboards, reporting, and analytics products.
• Support teams in improving delivery predictability, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure technology delivery remains connected to strategic business goals in a regulated financial environment.

What you need

• About 9 years of IT experience, with roughly 6 years spent working as a Scrum Master.
• Strong working knowledge of Agile methods and frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
• Practical experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to manage risks, dependencies, and cross-team coordination.
• Scrum certification such as CSM, PSM, or SAFe is preferred.
• Experience in banking or financial services is preferred.
• Experience delivering end-to-end projects using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
• Strong capital markets knowledge, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX, and the full trade lifecycle from pre-trade through execution and post-trade.
• Understanding of regulatory programmes and frameworks such as MiFID II, EMIR, and Dodd-Frank.
• Knowledge of risk, P&L systems, and market data platforms.
• Ability to work with a broad set of stakeholders, including traders, quants, risk teams, operations, IT, and support functions.
• Experience supporting data platforms, data engineering pipelines, dashboards, reporting solutions, and analytics products.
• Ability to plan for governance, compliance, and operational readiness in delivery work.
• This is an experienced-professional role rather than an entry-level opportunity.
