The team focuses on delivering data quickly and accurately, while also improving workflows, identifying efficiencies, and building technology-based solutions that strengthen systems, products, and processes.
Role overview
In this senior data management role within OTC Fixed Income Pricing, you will shape and deliver data strategies that bring in new content, improve the value of existing datasets, and ensure the information powering the product remains high quality, commercially valuable, and aligned with changing client demands. The position calls for strong knowledge of fixed income markets and a practical understanding of how to grow and refine a data product in a competitive, fast-moving environment.
The role has a particular emphasis on corporates and sovereigns. You will be expected to think strategically, stay curious about market developments, and convert ideas into measurable progress. A major part of the job is working across teams and regions, building internal support, and coordinating efforts so that product improvements and content acquisition initiatives translate into real customer value.
What you will do
- Set the direction for acquiring new datasets by defining priorities, targets, and progress measures based on data and business needs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders so their priorities are understood and reflected in the teamâs plans.
- Ensure existing datasets are usable, accessible, and suitable for their intended purpose so the investment in onboarding content delivers strong returns.
- Own and deliver data quality projects, adjusting focus as commercial conditions and business priorities evolve.
- Oversee the budget and commercial arrangements for third-party content within the teamâs scope, making sure those arrangements are optimized for value.
- Coordinate campaigns across OTC Pricing that bring together Relationship Managers and Technical Account Managers to support wider team objectives.
- Identify gaps in the current product offering and help extend coverage to new client needs and emerging use cases.
- Act as a representative for the fixed income content behind the product and for the Content Acquisition team more broadly across Bloomberg.
- Work with internal partners and senior leaders to drive customer-focused outcomes and support growth initiatives.
- Mobilize cross-functional teams and communicate clearly across regions to keep initiatives aligned and moving forward.
What Bloomberg is looking for
- A bachelorâs degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, STEM, or an equivalent level of qualification.
- At least four years of experience in financial markets, together with a strong understanding of fixed income markets, including market structure, recent trends, and the competitive landscape.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, including the ability to work effectively across complex functions, geographies, and seniority levels.
- Evidence that you can turn a strategic vision into practical goals and measurable outcomes for regional teams.
- Experience driving cross-regional execution, alignment, and communication.
- A strategic, action-oriented approach and comfort making decisions when information is incomplete.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to demonstrate the right skills for the role, even if your years of experience differ from the stated guideline, as Bloomberg will consider candidates who can show they are a strong fit.
