The role is described as a program leadership position with a strong emphasis on transformation, executive stakeholder management, commercial ownership, and measurable business outcomes.
What the role involves
- Serve as the senior executive contact for the client, building a trusted relationship at C-suite level and acting as the main point of coordination for strategic discussions.
- Lead executive steering committees, workshops, and business review meetings, using these forums to influence decisions and maintain alignment with the clientâs business direction and digital strategy.
- Communicate program progress, risks, and issues to senior stakeholders in a clear and proactive way, providing options and recommendations so problems are addressed early.
- Act as the bridge between delivery teams and client leadership, translating technical program details into business value, return on investment, and strategic impact.
- Own the full lifecycle of the program, starting with presales and discovery, continuing through roadmap definition and execution, and ending with benefits tracking and realization.
- Coordinate several linked projects and workstreams across areas such as cloud migration, enterprise applications, and AI or generative AI initiatives.
- Make sure delivery remains aligned to the agreed statement of work, and manage any changes through formal change control processes.

- Stay current on industry developments and proven delivery practices, bringing in innovative ideas that help maintain a competitive edge.
- Ensure the program delivers genuine transformation by improving the clientâs processes, technology landscape, and operating capabilities rather than simply completing tasks.
- Oversee program financial performance, including budget, revenue, and profitability, and make data-led decisions to keep the program on track.
- Handle scope, budget, and contract discussions in a way that balances client needs with the providerâs commercial interests.
- Lead and develop a distributed team that may include program managers, project managers, business analysts, and architects.
- Put strong governance, communication, and quality assurance structures in place so delivery teams remain accountable for measurable outcomes.
- Encourage a collaborative, innovative, client-centered culture and promote continuous improvement throughout the program.

- Candidates should have a strong track record of delivering large, multi-year, transformational IT programs for external enterprise clients.
- Deep understanding of digital transformation, enterprise architecture, cloud technologies, data analytics, and Agile/DevOps delivery methods is expected.
- Experience communicating with senior executives and presenting complex ideas in a compelling, business-focused way is essential.
- Applicants should show the ability to inspire teams and lead transformation effectively.
- A strategic mindset is needed, including the ability to understand a clientâs business model and industry and align technology delivery to business objectives.
- Knowledge of at least one industry sector and/or one IT technology stack is required.
- Strong negotiation and conflict management skills are important for handling competing priorities and difficult client situations.
- The role also requires the ability to identify and drive revenue growth opportunities across the client account and broader services organization.
