| Job Type | Full Time |
| Location | Glasgow |
This role sits within Capgemini Inventâs Cloud Advisory capability, which is part of the wider Business Technology organisation. The team helps clients use cloud to support new business models, speed up growth, meet regulatory obligations, and lower their carbon footprint. The work is positioned within a consulting environment that combines strategy, creativity, science, and technology to help organisations tackle current and future transformation challenges.
As a senior consultant focused on service management, you will help shape and deliver modern service management approaches for clients operating in increasingly complex technology environments. The role is centred on improving service management design, operating models, and delivery effectiveness, while also contributing to practice growth and broader consulting activities.
What you will do
- Lead the design and delivery of improved service management capabilities, including processes and operating models that are aligned to ITIL v4, DevOps, and Agile principles, with the aim of improving innovation, responsiveness, service quality, and cost control.
- Support clients in modernising their service management frameworks by looking across governance, skills, culture, tooling, and organisational structure rather than focusing on process alone.
- Apply SIAM and Lean approaches to improve multi-vendor operating environments and to make better use of ITSM platforms, particularly where cloud integration is part of the target model.
- Create practical transition plans and interim operating states that help organisations move from on-premise setups to hybrid and multi-cloud environments in a way that supports scale and resilience.
- Embed automation into service management thinking, tools, and processes, using an AI-first mindset to generate measurable business value and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to consulting practice development and help support sustainable transformation work across the business.
- Take an active role in business development, including proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition creation, pitch support, and hosting clients at events.
- Contribute internally through campaign work, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development activities, recruitment support, team events, and development of new offerings.
- Participate in learning and development activity, including training and certifications that support your career progression and the firmâs capability needs.
What the team is looking for
- Practical experience building and implementing service management frameworks based on ITIL v4.
- Experience improving ITSM tooling, defining operating models, and driving automation across IT and business processes.
- Comfort working directly with clients, including contributing to business cases, commercial activity, and business development.
- A proven history of leading and delivering advisory engagements, managing teams, and building trusted relationships with both internal colleagues and external clients.
- Strong influencing skills that help support sales generation and wider consulting delivery.
- Experience with cloud centres of excellence, SIAM models, ITIL frameworks, operating model design, AI optimisation, and hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
- Working knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, Lean, and Agile delivery methods.
- It would be beneficial if you are currently working in consulting, or if you come from industry with a service management background.
- Ability to succeed in a matrixed organisation and to gain support from peers when selling and delivering consulting solutions is an advantage.
- Experience in proposition development and delivery is desirable.
- Business development experience that uses existing relationships, wider company connections, and your own network is also helpful.
What you can expect from working here
- Client work that gives you direct exposure to senior leadership and experienced consulting managers, allowing you to learn from them, challenge ideas, and build your own delivery and industry knowledge faster.
- Opportunities to learn how compelling client propositions are created and how major transformation programmes are structured and led.
- Hands-on experience with leading technologies and the chance to move ideas from concept to vision, then strategy, and finally execution.
- Formal training in consulting and client delivery from experienced industry practitioners.
- Access to learning and certification pathways through internal and partner-led programmes, including AWS, Google, ServiceNow, and Microsoft.
- Use of Les Fontaines, Capgemini Inventâs training centre near Paris, where teams can focus on thought leadership, knowledge sharing, and capability development.
- Monthly showcases of digital transformation initiatives that highlight how technology is being used to support clients.
- Regular opportunities to connect with colleagues, including monthly team drinks, leadership connect sessions, and team away days.

Employee wellbeing is described as a major priority. The company supports this through trained Mental Health Champions across its business areas and through wellbeing applications such as Thrive and Peppy.
The organisation also states that it is a Disability Confident Employer at Level 2 under the UK Government scheme.
