This role sits within Capgemini Inventâs Cloud Advisory capability, which is part of the wider Business Technology organisation. The team helps clients use cloud to support new business models, speed up growth, meet regulatory obligations, and lower carbon impact. The work combines strategy, creativity, science, and technology to help organisations transform in ways that are practical, measurable, and tailored to their specific challenges.
What you will do
- Lead the development and delivery of stronger service management capabilities, processes, and operating models that are aligned with ITIL v4, DevOps, and Agile practices, with the aim of improving innovation, responsiveness, service performance, and cost control.
- Support clients in modernising their service management approach by looking across governance, skills, culture, tooling, and organisational structure, helping them evolve their service framework in a joined-up way.
- Use SIAM and Lean principles to improve complex environments with multiple suppliers, and help clients make better use of their ITSM tools, particularly where cloud integration is part of the picture.
- Create practical cloud transition roadmaps and define interim states that help organisations move from on-premises setups to hybrid and multi-cloud models while building service models that are scalable and resilient.
- Build automation into service management design and tooling, and encourage an AI-first mindset so that clients can achieve clear business value and operational efficiency improvements.
- Contribute to consulting practice growth by supporting sustainable transformation work and taking part in business development activity.
- Help shape proposals, RFP responses, bids, client propositions, and pitch materials, and support client hosting at events.
- Take part in internal practice-building work such as campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepaper creation, offering development, recruitment support, team events, and operational improvements.
- Engage in learning and development activity, including training and certifications, to strengthen your own career progression and support the skills needs of the business.
- Work on client engagements that allow you to learn from senior leaders and experienced consulting managers, while helping move work from an early idea through to strategy and delivery.
What you should bring
- Practical experience creating and implementing service management frameworks based on ITIL v4, along with experience improving ITSM tooling, defining operating models, and driving automation across IT and business processes.
- Confidence in client-facing consulting work, including the ability to build business cases, handle commercial matters, and contribute to business development.
- A proven history of leading advisory assignments, managing teams, building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and influencing others in ways that support sales growth.
- Experience working with cloud centres of excellence, ITIL frameworks, SIAM models, operating models, AI optimisation, and hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
- Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, Lean, and Agile methods, and the ability to apply that knowledge in transformation work.
- Experience in a consulting firm, or in an industry role with a service management background, would be beneficial.
- The ability to work effectively in a matrixed organisation and to gain support from colleagues when selling and delivering consulting solutions.
- Experience in proposition development and delivery is helpful.
- Business development experience, including using existing organisational relationships, broader market relationships, and your own network, would be an advantage.
What you can expect from the role and the environment
- Client work will give you the chance to collaborate with leadership and experienced consulting managers, helping you build delivery capability, industry understanding, and confidence through direct experience.
- You will learn how strong client propositions are developed and how major transformation programmes are structured, led, and delivered.
- You will gain practical exposure to leading technologies and see how ideas progress from concept to vision, then strategy, and finally execution.
- Consultants receive formal training from experts in management consulting and client delivery.
- There are learning and certification opportunities through internal and partner-led programmes with AWS, Google, ServiceNow, and Microsoft.
- Capgemini Invent also offers access to Les Fontaines, a dedicated training setting near Paris where teams can focus on thought leadership, knowledge sharing, and capability building.
- The company runs monthly showcases of digital transformation work so teams can share learning and see how technology is affecting clients.
- There are regular opportunities to connect socially and professionally, including monthly team drinks, leadership connect sessions, and team away days.
