In this role, you would join AWS as a specialist solutions architect focused on modernization and migration, helping customers of all sizes move through their cloud transformation journey. The position is centered on building strong technical relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor, and helping them get maximum value from AWS throughout every phase of their migration and modernization work.
You would work closely with senior leaders and technical teams at customer organizations to guide large-scale migration and modernization programs. A major part of the role is helping customers improve agility and create measurable business value by shaping their approach to AWS adoption. You would also manage the technical relationship between AWS and its customers, offering guidance on architecture choices that improve security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Another important aspect of the job is serving as the customer’s voice inside AWS. You would bring customer needs, priorities, and feedback back to internal teams so they can influence future AWS capabilities and product direction. Externally, you would help enterprise customers assess whether they are ready to migrate, and you would support them in defining the right migration strategy for their environment and goals.
The role also gives you the chance to turn technical ideas into practical cloud solutions. You would help define cloud-native reference architectures for a range of use cases and contribute to the creation and sharing of technical best practices. This includes producing or supporting materials such as white papers, code samples, and blog posts. In addition, you would help evangelize AWS technology through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos, and conferences.
This position suits someone who is comfortable working with both executives and technologists and who can lead important IT transformation projects that are visible, complex, and technically demanding. It also calls for someone who understands the challenges involved in enterprise cloud migration and can help customers navigate them successfully.
