Company Name Amazon
Job Role Tech Enablement Lead EMEA , WWFE – Technical Enablement
Qualifications Bachelor’s
Category IT Jobs
Job Type Full Time
Location London

This role sits within AWS Worldwide Field Enablement and focuses on helping technical field teams perform at a higher level through practical learning, coaching, tooling, and structured enablement programs. The position is aimed at someone who can combine cloud knowledge, strong stakeholder management, and program leadership to improve how Solutions Architects and Customer Solutions Managers support customers and drive business outcomes. The work blends strategy and hands-on execution: you will help define the right enablement approach, build the supporting plans and materials, and then deliver and measure the programs in partnership with a wide range of internal teams.

The successful candidate will be expected to think both strategically and operationally. On one hand, you will help shape technical enablement direction for the field; on the other, you will be responsible for turning that direction into concrete learning experiences, onboarding support, and adoption programs. The role calls for someone who can take complex information, make it usable for a diverse technical audience, and ensure that the resulting initiatives are practical, scalable, and tied to business impact. Experience with AI technologies is especially valued, and the ideal person will be comfortable working across technical and business functions to improve customer-centric outcomes.

What you will do

  • Serve as a trusted partner to AWS technical leaders by recommending strategic enablement actions, encouraging use of enablement tools, and helping deliver measurable results.
  • Design, deliver, manage, and support customized technical learning sessions for both new hires and existing technical field employees.
  • Decide whether learning content should be incorporated into existing Worldwide Field Enablement offerings or created as new material, depending on the need.
  • Plan and support technical onboarding and ongoing learning programs, ensuring initiatives are well organized and progress is visible.
  • Take ownership of planning, communication, and execution for each initiative from start to finish.
  • Create and maintain enablement resources for technical teams, making use of existing materials where appropriate to support efficient program delivery.
  • Work with stakeholders to assess needs in detail and identify the most important gaps or opportunities.
  • Turn business needs into clear project requirements that can support repeatable, scalable initiatives with measurable results.
  • Identify obstacles in projects, investigate the underlying causes, and communicate findings and resolutions to stakeholders.
  • Define metrics and reporting methods that show whether enablement programs are effective, useful, and aligned to their goals.
  • Build dashboards and other reporting views to communicate the impact of enablement investments.
  • Track deadlines, maintain detailed status updates for training and initiative work, and improve processes that make project management more efficient.
  • Lead or support special projects as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with technical leadership, business operations, AWS service teams, project managers, and subject matter experts to understand and meet field objectives.
  • Help shape the technical training strategy for AWS technical field teams and support go-to-market motions, technical onboarding, and adoption of tools and programs.
  • Use coaching, problem-solving, and enthusiasm for technology to strengthen learning experiences and build positive relationships with both new and experienced field employees.

What the team is looking for

  • Strong executive presence, business judgment, and enablement experience.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively across many stakeholders.
  • Comfort operating in organizations that support technical teams.
  • Ability to handle complex, cross-functional programs and keep them moving toward clear objectives.
  • Capability to translate broad business goals into practical, measurable enablement work.
  • Interest in cloud technologies and, ideally, experience with AI-related tools and concepts.

Minimum qualifications

  • Experience defining, improving, and implementing sales processes, procedures, and policies, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing large, complicated programs.
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience coordinating work between technical teams, peers, and business stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in a fast-growing technology company.
  • Knowledge of general AI tools.
  • Experience working in a technical lead capacity.
  • Active AWS certification or another relevant industry technical certification.
