This role is for a Technical Program Manager focused on software and data programs that support the rollout of Amazonâs electric delivery fleet. The position sits in a fast-moving, technically complex environment where you will help shape and deliver initiatives tied to Amazonâs sustainability goals. The work involves coordinating across engineering and operations to take software and data products from planning through implementation and into reliable day-to-day use.
What you will do
- Lead technical program management for software and data initiatives connected to electric fleet deployment.
- Own the full delivery lifecycle for data and software products, making sure they are implemented successfully and operate effectively.
- Work closely with Engineering and Operations partners to align delivery, execution, and operational readiness.
- Set software direction and convert complicated technical needs into practical plans that teams can execute.
- Drive development activity and coordinate the steps needed to deliver software products.
- Design and run testing and quality assurance plans so products are ready for production use.
- Create multi-year roadmaps that cover product expansion and future feature development.
- Oversee system architecture, development workflows, and user experience as part of product delivery.
- Identify technical risks, especially those caused by complexity, and push for simplification in systems and architecture.
- Use data to influence technical priorities and help shape roadmap decisions.
- Improve product performance and quality over time through ongoing, data-led iteration.
Team context
You will join the Electrification and Infrastructure team within Global Fleet & Product. This group is working toward Amazonâs long-term objective of electrifying its entire transportation fleet by 2040, so the role is closely tied to a major company-wide sustainability initiative.
What Amazon is looking for
- Background in technical program management with direct experience working alongside software engineering teams.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional programs and release schedules.
- Experience evaluating and contributing to system-level technical design.
- Track record of building and delivering product and technical roadmaps.
- Experience coordinating technical programs across multiple teams, including process creation and release planning.
- Hands-on experience with system design.
- Preferred: project management capability across scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
- Preferred: a masterâs degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred: EV charging infrastructure certifications such as EVITP or an equivalent EU certification.
- Preferred: experience with OCPP, ISO 15118, and Charge Point Operator platform integration.
