Twitch is seeking an energetic and motivated Trust & Safety Analyst to join its Trust & Safety organization. The role sits at the center of efforts to keep Twitch welcoming and safe for the communities that use the service. The team supports a wide range of communities across gaming, entertainment, music, sports, cooking, and other interests, and the work focuses on helping those communities thrive while reducing online harm. This position is based in London, UK.
The role is part of a global Trust & Safety function, working alongside analysts in different regions to protect the platform and its users. The environment is collaborative and fast-moving, with an emphasis on teamwork, problem-solving, and making sound decisions in situations that can be complex or ambiguous. Candidates are expected to bring strong communication skills, professionalism, initiative, and good judgment.
What you will do
- Review reports from users about possible violations of Twitch policies and decide on the appropriate response quickly and effectively.
- Handle urgent and sensitive safety matters, including cases involving child safety, terrorism, violent extremism, and harmful behavior that occurs outside the service.
- Investigate and respond to escalations raised by both internal stakeholders and external parties.
- Take part in a rotating shift schedule that includes some weekends and holidays.
- Build and maintain a deep understanding of Twitch policies, product functionality, and internal documentation so that decisions are accurate and consistent.
- Contribute knowledge, judgment, and operational insight to help the Trust & Safety team support Twitch’s worldwide community.
- Identify ways to improve processes and outcomes by using data to understand risk and reduce exposure to harm.
- Use AI-enabled tools and SQL, where useful, to improve efficiency and simplify workflows.
What the role requires
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent level of education, or relevant professional experience in place of a degree.
- At least two years of experience in Trust & Safety, risk operations, investigations, fraud prevention, content moderation, escalations, crisis management, or a closely related field.
- Experience investigating difficult user, content, or platform safety issues and making risk-based decisions when information is incomplete or unclear.
- Familiarity with SQL, data analysis tools, or AI-assisted workflows used to identify trends, investigate risk, and improve operational performance.
- The ability to analyze large datasets, spot patterns, and convert findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with a professional approach, initiative, and sound decision-making.
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn new tools and technologies that support proactive risk detection and investigations.
- Preferred background includes knowledge of AWS infrastructure, experience with email or notification systems, and experience writing Go in production systems.
