What you will do
- Work on both advisory and delivery engagements, supporting clients from early transformation thinking through to the full delivery lifecycle of Workday projects.
- Help clients define their transformation approach and then move that strategy into practical implementation.
- Translate business needs into Workday configuration across key finance areas such as general ledger, supplier accounts, customer accounts, banking, and expenses.
- Support clients in shaping their overall solution architecture and the end-to-end finance processes that will run on Workday.
- Lead workshops with senior stakeholders, challenge assumptions where needed, and turn business objectives into workable Workday design decisions.
- Contribute to business requirements analysis, functional design, prototyping, and process design during Workday implementations.
- Bring understanding of Workday transactional data flows and help with data migration activities when required.
- Plan and deliver the agreed scope and outputs for the team while keeping an eye on delivery risk in ERP programmes.
- Build trusted client relationships through clear communication and effective stakeholder management.
- Work as part of an inclusive team and help develop others through both formal and informal support.
- Communicate complex technical and functional ideas in a way that works for different audiences, including business leaders and technical teams.
What Deloitte is looking for
- Experience in ERP, EPM, and cloud computing, including familiarity with storage, platforms, and data.
- Relevant experience in finance technology or a closely related area.
- Background in finance transformation work using Workday.
- Ability to turn business requirements into system, application, and process designs that cover both functional and non-functional needs.
- Understanding of Workday transactional data flows and the ability to support data migration work.
- Experience designing and/or implementing ERP systems.
- Ideally, certification in Workday Finance, FDM, and Engagement Manager.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to plan work and deliver the teamâs scope and outputs.
- Confidence in managing stakeholders through clear communication and in building strong client relationships.
- Awareness of risk in ERP delivery projects.
- Ability to work well in an inclusive team and actively support the growth of individuals and teams.
- At least two end-to-end Workday implementations.
- For the desirable criteria, at least one active Workday Finance certification in areas such as R2R, P2P, or Accounting Centre.
- Knowledge of current automation approaches, continuous integration and deployment, and cloud-based delivery models.
- Comfort discussing technical issues with business stakeholders and business issues with technical stakeholders.
- Ability to explain complex ideas in plain language for wider audiences.
- Skill in tailoring messages to different audiences and combining technical expertise with accessible communication.
- Business domain and/or industry knowledge.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including geographically dispersed colleagues and clients.
- Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills across functions.
- Excellent presentation skills, especially when translating business requirements into information models.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
