An innovative technology company in London is looking for a senior frontend engineer to help build the next generation of intelligent software platforms for industrial IoT use cases. The role sits within a team creating complex, large-scale systems that connect physical devices to modern cloud and data infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on live data, performance, and reliability. This is a hands-on frontend position where you will shape the user interface architecture for software that supports important operational activity.

What you will do

• Design and develop frontend user interfaces for an industrial IoT platform that must process and present very large amounts of real-time information.
• Build frontend architecture that can cope with demanding, high-volume data scenarios across a range of environments.
• Work on software that bridges connected devices, cloud services, and data systems.
• Contribute to applications used in mission-critical settings where robust delivery is essential.
• Take responsibility for web projects through the full development lifecycle, from initial build through to delivery.
• Collaborate with colleagues working across software, data, AI, machine learning, and computer vision to deliver integrated product features.

What the employer is looking for

• Extensive frontend development experience, with strong practical knowledge of VueJS.
• Previous use of VueJS in IoT-focused work.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and WebRTC.
• A track record of leading web projects from start to finish.
• Experience with real-time data pipelines.
• Useful background in Python, especially FastAPI, although this is not essential.
• Experience in streaming data, IoT, or edge-computing environments.
• Prior work in a fast-paced, startup-style business would be beneficial.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, plus the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Package and location

• Salary is advertised at £90,000 to £100,000.
