What you will do

• Take the lead on both advisory and delivery engagements, supporting clients from early transformation thinking through to the full delivery lifecycle of Workday projects.
• Work with clients to define their target operating approach, including solution architecture and end-to-end process design that can be enabled through Workday.
• Spot issues in client processes, technology landscapes, and integrations, then propose workable solutions.
• Guide business requirements, functional design, prototyping, and process design activities during Workday implementations.
• Help clients reduce cost and improve innovation by shaping business requirements and supporting delivery of enterprise-level change.
• Contribute to the firm’s inclusive culture and help create an environment where people feel supported and able to develop.
• Plan and deliver the team’s agreed scope and outputs while keeping an eye on delivery risk in ERP programmes.
• Build trusted client relationships through clear, effective communication and strong stakeholder management.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support the growth of individuals and teams in both formal and informal ways.
• Translate business needs into detailed system, application, and process designs that cover both functional and non-functional considerations.

Skills and experience needed

• Strong background in ERP, EPM, and cloud computing, including familiarity with storage, platforms, and data.
• Relevant experience in finance technology or a closely related field.
• Ability to turn business requirements into detailed system, application, or process designs.
• Good understanding of Workday transactional data flows, plus the ability to support data migration work.
• Experience designing and implementing ERP systems.
• Current certification in Workday Finance, FDM, and Engagement Manager.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Capability to plan and deliver the team’s scope and outputs.
• Confidence in managing stakeholders and building strong client relationships through clear communication.
• Understanding of risk in ERP delivery projects.
• Ability to work well in an inclusive team and actively support the development of others.
• At least four complete end-to-end Workday implementations.

Additional experience that would be useful

• Understanding of current best practice in automation, continuous integration and deployment, and cloud-based delivery approaches.
• Comfort discussing technical matters with business audiences and business issues with technical audiences.
• Ability to explain complex ideas in plain language so they are accessible to wider audiences.
• Skill in building a persuasive message and adapting it to the needs of a specific audience.
• Business domain knowledge and/or industry experience.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, clients, and geographically dispersed colleagues.
• Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills across functions.
• Excellent presentation skills, especially when translating business requirements into information models.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Evidence of leadership and self-direction.
• Experience gained in consulting or professional services.

The role is based in one of Deloitte’s UK offices and follows a hybrid working model.
