The position is aimed at someone who can work with business leaders and technical teams to design and deliver technology-enabled change that improves enterprise performance and return on investment. The work spans the full journey from strategy and process design through to implementation support, with a focus on simplifying complex problems and creating measurable value for clients.

What you will do

  • Take ownership of both advisory and delivery workstreams, supporting clients from the earliest transformation discussions through to the delivery of Workday programmes.
  • Help clients define transformation strategies and shape the direction of their finance and technology change initiatives.
  • Work with client teams to design end-to-end business processes and the overall solution architecture that will be enabled through Workday.
  • Lead or contribute to the functional design, prototyping, and process design stages of Workday implementations.
  • Identify process, technology, and integration challenges on client projects and recommend effective solutions.
  • Support business requirements gathering and translate those requirements into practical system, application, and process designs.
  • Plan and manage the scope and deliverables assigned to the team, ensuring work is delivered effectively and on time.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and stakeholder management.
  • Apply sound judgement around risk in ERP delivery environments and help teams respond appropriately to delivery issues.
  • Work in an inclusive team culture and actively contribute to the development of colleagues, both through formal and informal support.
  • Explain technical and business issues in a way that is accessible to different audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to Deloitte’s broader Technology & Transformation work by helping clients address major digital and finance transformation challenges.

What you need

  • Experience with ERP and EPM solutions, together with knowledge of cloud computing environments, including storage, platforms, and data.
  • Relevant professional experience in finance technology or a closely related discipline.
  • Ability to convert business requirements into detailed functional and non-functional designs for systems, applications, or processes.
  • Strong understanding of Workday transactional data flows, plus the ability to support data migration activities.
  • Practical experience designing and implementing ERP systems.
  • Current certifications in Workday Finance, FDM, and Engagement Manager.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to plan work, manage deliverables, and keep a team’s scope under control.
  • Experience managing stakeholders and developing trusted client relationships through effective communication.
  • Awareness of risk in ERP delivery projects and the ability to work confidently within that environment.
  • A collaborative approach and a willingness to support the growth of individuals and teams.
  • At least four complete end-to-end Workday implementations.

  • Knowledge of current automation approaches, continuous integration and deployment, and cloud-based delivery models.
  • Comfort discussing technical topics with business audiences and business topics with technical audiences.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and in plain language.
  • Skill in shaping a persuasive message and adapting it for different audiences.
  • Business domain or industry knowledge.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including geographically distributed teams and clients.
  • Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management capability across functions.
  • Excellent presentation skills, especially when turning business requirements into information models.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Evidence of leadership and self-direction.
  • Background in consulting or professional services.
