This is an opportunity to join a well-established and successful semiconductor business as an Analog IC Design Manager. The companyâs design centre, based just north of London in Essex, focuses on high-speed mixed-signal integrated circuits for the data communications sector. As the organisation grows, it is looking for a manager to guide a multidisciplinary team of IC design and layout engineers working on the next generation of optical communication systems.
What the role involves
- Leading a team made up of IC design and layout specialists across multiple disciplines.
- Taking technical ownership of analog IC design work and serving as a key authority for the team.
- Helping drive development of advanced optical communication system technologies.
- Managing several projects at once while keeping delivery on track despite schedule and resource pressures.
- Working across engineering functions to coordinate priorities, resolve issues, and influence technical decisions.
- Supporting the companyâs continued expansion and positioning yourself for progression into more senior leadership responsibilities.
What the company is looking for
- A bachelorâs or masterâs degree in electronic engineering or a similar discipline.
- At least ten years of experience in analog IC design.
- Several years spent in a leadership or management role.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects at the same time while working within tight timelines and limited resources.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage, influence, and coordinate stakeholders across engineering teams.
