A global software and engineering technology company is growing its engineering presence in Cambridge and is looking for an experienced full stack engineer to join the team. The work centres on a major public-facing web and cloud platform that is used extensively by engineering industries and communities around the world. This is a chance to contribute to new product and platform development in a role where your work can make a tangible difference.
What you will do
- Join a software engineering team that is expanding in Cambridge and help deliver new development work across the platform.
- Build and support features for a large-scale web and cloud product used by a global audience.
- Work within cross-functional teams responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web services.
- Take on full stack engineering tasks spanning both frontend and backend development.
- Contribute to projects where your input can directly add value to the product and its users.
What the role calls for
- Previous experience as a full stack software engineer, or in a similar software development role.
- At least four years of practical experience developing full stack web applications.
- Strong hands-on experience building user interfaces with TypeScript and React.
- Strong hands-on experience on the backend using Python or Go.
- GraphQL experience is a notable advantage.
- Working knowledge of relational databases, such as MySQL.
- Exposure to containerised development, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes would be beneficial.
- Understanding of Elasticsearch would also be useful.
- The ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and contribute to cross-functional delivery.
Package and working setup
- Salary in the range of £70,000 to £85,000.
- Hybrid working model with three days each week spent onsite in Cambridge.
- Access to modern, well-equipped offices.
- Parking is available at the office.
