| Location | London |
This role sits within Google Cloud and focuses on helping priority regional system integrators and strategic partners across EMEA succeed in pre-sales and technical delivery. The position is centered on solution design, partner enablement, and technical leadership, with a strong emphasis on moving opportunities from early architectural guidance into practical execution in areas such as AI, Data, or Infrastructure. The role is based in London and works closely with partner-facing and customer-facing teams to help shape and accelerate partner-led business.
What you will do
- Serve as the main pre-sales solution design authority for selected regional system integrators and strategic partners across EMEA, especially within the South sub-region.
- Act as the technical counterpart to Google Cloud Account Platform Customer Engineers, helping resolve complex partner opportunities while the customer relationship and overall account strategy remain with the Account CE.
- Take ownership of the partner’s technical readiness so that the partner can successfully deliver the solution, rather than leaving gaps that later turn into post-sales issues.
- Shift engagements from broad regional advisory into deeper, domain-specific execution in AI, Data, or Infrastructure, with the goal of closing pre-sales gaps and reducing delivery friction later on.
- Plan and run high-touch enablement events such as VIP bootcamps, red-carpet workshops, and hackathons to speed up partner business cycles and support timely, high-quality delivery that leads to consumption.
- Provide targeted architectural support to regional system integrators and strategic partners, including help with difficult agreements and partner activation customization.
- Review and validate the most important statements of work to ensure they are technically robust, ready for production, and aligned with partner funding return on investment.
- Create reusable enterprise assets, including practical AI demonstrations, that can be used repeatedly across partner engagements.
- Lead technical deep-dives and hackathons for the regional Partner Tech Community so enablement can be delivered at scale to many partners at once.
- Help establish, operate, and sustain the EMEA Partner Tech Community.
- Work with Partner Development Managers to build and execute joint business plans for the sub-region, prioritizing the most impactful partner opportunities and contributing expertise back into the wider partner ecosystem.
What Google is looking for
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 10 years of experience working in cloud-native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
- Strong experience with public cloud architecture, including compute, networking, identity and access management, and microservices.
- Experience driving pre-sales acceleration, managing technical proof-of-concepts, and leading technical workshops.
- Experience in enterprise technology, including understanding how customers buy and evaluate solutions, plus the ability to translate business needs into technical direction.
- The ability to challenge partner delivery strategies using strong business-to-technology translation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes and collaborate across functions with Google Cloud Platform Customer Engineers to position and coordinate solutions made up of multiple products.
- The ability to influence technical audiences within partner organizations, identify expansion opportunities in partner accounts, and help accelerate agreement closure while avoiding partner-delivery escalations on partner-led delivery agreements.
- Deep specialization in at least one major area, such as AI, Data, or Infrastructure, with expert-level knowledge in one or more of those domains.
- Experience taking ownership of outcomes, making decisions in unclear situations, and influencing stakeholders.
- English fluency, since Google notes that English proficiency is required for all roles unless the posting says otherwise.
