Category Finance Jobs
Job Type Full Time
Location London

This role focuses on shaping the future of Company Screening at Bloomberg, with an emphasis on faster discovery, more adaptable screening criteria, clearer explanations of results, and better guidance for what users should do next. The position sits at the center of the next generation of screening experiences across the Bloomberg Terminal and related AI-driven products.

You will be responsible for understanding and improving the full screening journey. That includes helping clients identify which datasets can be screened, creating tools that make it easier to define and refine criteria, and improving the way users review results, monitor changes over time, and progress into deeper analysis. The role also involves helping modernize older screening applications by moving them into newer AI-enabled workflows that preserve client trust, transparency, and continuity.

This is a role that combines product thinking with technical depth. You will work closely with Engineering and Data teams to decide how screening data should be modeled, cached, queried, and delivered so that high-volume workflows remain fast and reliable. In addition, you will look for opportunities to build shared components that can be reused in related areas such as Fund Screening and Index Screening.

What you will do

  • Set the product strategy for Company Screening across the Bloomberg Terminal, including how it connects with AI tools such as ASKB.
  • Take ownership of the product roadmap and balance client needs, commercial priorities, technical feasibility, and migration requirements.
  • Examine adjacent areas such as funds and indices to find opportunities to standardize screening workflows through reusable components.
  • Convert client and business needs into clear product direction, requirements, and prioritization choices.
  • Work side by side with Engineering, Data, and Product teams to deliver screening capabilities that scale and align with infrastructure and migration work.
  • Make sure screening criteria, results, analytics, and workflows are delivered consistently across user interfaces, APIs, data products, and AI-enabled experiences.
  • Define success measures and evaluate product impact using adoption, client engagement, data usage, workflow completion, and commercial outcomes.
  • Partner with Sales, Support, and other client-facing teams to understand user pain points, test product decisions, and help drive migration and adoption.
  • Contribute to the design of technical approaches for data modeling, caching, querying, and delivery so the product performs well at scale.
  • Help create migration paths from legacy screening tools to modern workflows while maintaining user confidence and continuity.

What the role requires

  • Seven or more years of product management experience, or equivalent experience in company analysis, gained either by using company screening in your own work or by leading the development of company screening tools.
  • Strong knowledge of company data, including financial, firmographic, and related datasets.
  • Understanding of private company data and the challenges involved in coverage, comparability, quality, and discoverability.
  • Familiarity with funds, indices, or other related financial datasets.
  • Experience with data systems, APIs, data modeling, analytics platforms, or large-scale query workflows.
  • Ability to operate effectively across technical and business areas and collaborate with Engineering, Data, Sales, and Product stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to define strategy, make prioritization decisions, and execute in ambiguous cross-functional environments.
  • Technical fluency, sound judgement, and a practical problem-solving approach.

Nice-to-have experience

  • Experience with Bloomberg Terminal workflows, especially Company Screening, Fund Screening, Index Screening, or similar products.
  • Experience with AI-enabled workflows, natural-language interfaces, data discovery tools, or decision-support products.
  • A CFA qualification or a similar designation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex ideas in a simple way.

The page also notes that the stated years of experience should be treated as a guide only, and that candidates who can demonstrate the necessary skills are encouraged to apply even if they do not match that number exactly.
