Product Specialist Overview

Company Name TPP
Job Role Product Specialist
Qualifications Not Specified
Category IT Jobs
Job Type Full Time
Location Leeds

This role is for a confident, professional person who enjoys both technology and healthcare and wants a varied position combining product demonstrations, customer training, and hands-on support. The company is a global healthcare technology business, and the work is closely tied to helping clients and end users understand and get the best from its products. The position is mainly based in Leeds, but it also involves frequent travel within the UK and overseas.

What you will do

  • Present products to customers and give live demonstrations that clearly show how the technology works and what it can do.
  • Act as a trainer for users, delivering practical guidance that helps them feel confident using the company’s healthcare solutions.
  • Look after the organisation’s learning management system and online training platform, making sure the e-learning content stays accurate, useful, and up to date.
  • Write and maintain training materials that support users in learning the system and using it effectively in day-to-day work.
  • Run training sessions in both online and in-person formats, tailoring delivery to the audience and the situation.
  • Plan and lead workshops that help customers and users make the most of the products available to them.
  • Represent the business at meetings, industry events, and healthcare conferences across the UK and internationally.
  • Support customers during go-live periods, when they are starting to use a product and may need extra reassurance, guidance, and troubleshooting.
  • Contribute to a role that can involve different healthcare settings and product areas, including work connected to acute hospital technology.
  • Travel regularly as part of the job, meeting users and customers in different locations and helping to deliver training and demonstrations wherever needed.

What the company is looking for

  • A person who is comfortable speaking to groups and can deliver training and demonstrations in a polished, professional way.
  • Experience in a customer-facing or training role; healthcare experience is useful, although it is not a strict requirement.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability, with a proactive attitude toward helping customers and resolving issues.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • At least eight GCSEs at grade C or above.
  • At least three A-levels at grade C or above.
  • Willingness to be based mainly in Leeds while also travelling regularly across the UK and abroad.
  • Language skills in Portuguese, Spanish, or Mandarin would be helpful, but they are not essential.
  • An interest in working at the intersection of healthcare and technology, with an appetite for a role that changes from day to day.

What the role is like

The position is described as highly varied. One day you might be training users in a community hospital, and the next you could be demonstrating the system to prospective customers. The role also includes being present when an organisation goes live with one of the products, which can be challenging but rewarding because you can see the difference your support makes. There is also involvement in product development work, and the team is described as approachable and supportive.

Although team members are based in different parts of the UK, the company makes an effort to create opportunities for colleagues to socialise and get to know one another. The role is presented as a chance to build confidence, develop resilience, and gain experience in a fast-moving healthcare technology environment.

Pay and application

The salary for the role is £60,000. Applicants are invited to apply through the company’s careers site using the application process provided on the page.

The page also includes a staff profile from a current Product Specialist, who describes the role as varied, travel-heavy, and rewarding, with opportunities to support users, attend go-lives, and contribute to the development of healthcare products.
