What you will do
- Play an active part in designing, supporting, and upgrading services that are critical to healthcare delivery.
- Work closely with other technical team members to tackle current scaling issues as the business grows internationally.
- Help address challenges linked to the rapid expansion of mobile applications and artificial intelligence products.
- Contribute to technical work that supports both NHS services and healthcare organisations in other countries.
- Travel internationally when required to assess data centre options, help define and size new projects, and take part in technical discussions at government level.
What the employer is looking for
- Between one and three years of experience in a similar technical role.
- A computer-related degree with a minimum 2:1 classification.
- At least ABB/AAC at A-level, including Maths or IT.
- Practical experience with relational databases, especially SQL Server.
- Experience in Windows environments covering system administration, configuration, enhancements, system design, and build work.
- Hands-on understanding of hardware, including server components and how to investigate and fix problems.
- Networking knowledge, including managing enterprise firewalls, switches, and routers, along with familiarity with common network protocols.
- Cyber security awareness, including penetration testing and monitoring for threats, vulnerabilities, and indicators of compromise.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- A mindset that favours automation over repetitive manual processes.
