What you will do

• Participate actively in code review and architectural discussion, using your experience to raise engineering quality and support long-term maintainability.
• Work with product managers and experience designers to shape delivery plans, identify dependencies early, and reduce technical uncertainty before it becomes a delivery risk.
• Break down complex technical challenges into workable implementation paths and help influence the team’s roadmap and technical direction.
• Support the development of other engineers through mentoring and by contributing to the hiring process for new engineering talent.

• Deep experience building web applications in a modern engineering environment, with the ability and willingness to work across languages and services such as Go, Ruby, Python, and Scala.
• A strong track record of designing and operating web architecture at scale, particularly systems that handle large numbers of requests.
• Practical ownership of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, along with experience using non-relational technologies including Redis, DynamoDB, or Elasticsearch.
• A strong engineering craft mindset, shown through clear, well-structured, readable code that is carefully tested.
