Tech Lead Solutions Engineer, EUI Overview

This role sits within TikTok’s Solutions Engineering organization and is focused on helping external clients and partners succeed through technical problem-solving, product development, and close collaboration with commercial and engineering stakeholders. The position is based in London and is a regular employment role. The team’s purpose is to support businesses of different sizes and industries by identifying growth opportunities and turning technical challenges into practical solutions that help advertisers achieve their goals.

What you will do

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with client-side engineering teams in a chosen industry or vertical, while helping coordinate and advance a shared engineering roadmap.
• Work alongside sales colleagues to uncover opportunities that align with advertisers’ business objectives.
• Collaborate with Ads product engineering teams to create and launch new products, as well as fully customized end-to-end solutions.
• Contribute technical and business insight to product planning so the roadmap better addresses customer needs and market challenges.

What the team is looking for

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a closely related subject.
• At least five years of experience delivering production-ready software.
• Practical knowledge of one or more widely used programming languages, such as Python, Go, Java, or C/C++.
• The ability to communicate complex technical ideas in a way that non-technical stakeholders can understand.
• Experience working effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including larger and smaller groups.
• Strong knowledge of API design and backend system architecture.
• Preferred experience in advertising technology, particularly where large-scale data analytics is involved.
