Category IT Jobs
Job Type Full Time
Location Rest of UK

This role sits within the EU Customer Fulfilment process engineering organisation and is focused on improving how fulfilment centre operations perform across the European network. It is an on-site position based at EUK1, where the successful candidate will work closely with the fulfilment centre senior leadership team while maintaining strong day-to-day collaboration with central process engineering colleagues. The purpose of the role is to turn improvement ideas into practical site-level execution, ensure initiatives are adopted on time, and deliver measurable gains in productivity, efficiency, and compliance.

The position calls for someone who can take clear ownership of initiatives, understand the operational detail behind them, and influence a wide range of stakeholders to achieve meaningful results. The work includes deploying EU-wide programmes locally, supporting continuous improvement, and helping standardise best practices across the network.

What you will do

  • Act as the site-based process engineering partner for the EU Customer Fulfilment process engineering team, supporting the EUK1 site and working in close alignment with site leadership and central PE functions.
  • Deploy improvement initiatives across the site and make sure they are implemented within the agreed timeline and in line with required standards.
  • Take full ownership of assigned initiatives, including understanding the operational detail, coordinating execution, and driving outcomes that improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Lead Back to Basics activity by analysing the lower-performing processes, comparing results with EU fulfilment centre benchmarks, and identifying the highest-value opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with operations management to create and carry out improvement plans, then monitor progress and ensure the changes are embedded.
  • Oversee fulfilment centre improvement programmes, including deep analysis of process performance and management of action plans.
  • Partner with central process engineering teams and regional site process engineers to share effective practices, reduce variation, and align on standard methods.
  • Support continuous improvement by promoting network best practices, helping strengthen innovation frameworks, and ensuring major savings projects are submitted through the OP1 Project Intake process.
  • Own the rollout of EU network initiatives, making sure implementation is timely, compliant, and supported by testing and pilot activity where appropriate.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with operations teams, site leaders, and senior managers through regular engagement such as daily Gemba walks and weekly leadership meetings.
  • Provide support for ad hoc process-related work when needed, with this expected to remain a small part of the role.
  • Contribute to larger EU projects that may involve several fulfilment centres.
  • Work with the site management operational team during the Q4 period when required.
  • Travel within the region as business needs require, up to 10% of the time.

Working with central teams, the group prioritises resources to improve process metrics across all paths.
