This role is for a Modernization and Migration Specialist Solutions Architect focused on helping customers move through cloud modernization and migration with AWS. The position centers on building strong technical relationships with organizations of all sizes and serving as a trusted advisor throughout every stage of their cloud journey. You will work with senior customer leaders and technical teams to help them unlock greater agility and business value through large-scale migration and modernization efforts.
In this position, you will own the technical relationship between AWS and its customers and provide guidance on the areas that matter most in major transformation programs, including security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency. A key part of the work is helping enterprise customers prepare for migration assessments and shape their migration strategy. You will also act as the customer’s advocate inside AWS, bringing customer needs and priorities back to internal teams so they can inform future product and feature development.
The role also involves turning technical insight into practical solutions. You will help define cloud-native reference architectures for a range of use cases and contribute to the creation and sharing of best practices and technical materials. This includes producing content such as white papers, code samples, and blog posts, as well as educating external audiences about AWS technologies through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos, and conferences. The position is suited to someone who can work comfortably with both executives and technologists and who is interested in leading complex, high-impact IT transformation initiatives.
